Strategic Partnerships: business was started by HT Media at the beginning of the year 2008 as the strategic Value Creation and Exit Monetization vehicle for HT Media's Investment portfolio. This business identifies growth companies and enters into Long Term Strategic Partnerships with them. HT Media picks up a minority stake/ buys real estate properties in such companies and in return, offers advertising / brand building solutions.

Job Overview:

Business Development :

- Identify companies by creating databases, research their business, financials and media needs; focus to get larger deals in marquee companies; generate fresh business leads; make innovative pitch presentations; structure win-win proposals, evaluate follow-on visits to prospective clients and design target achievement strategy in order to explore the full potential of assigned verticals.

Deal Closure:

- Structure deals- Including valuation and negotiation; monitor financial performance of signed deals, trouble-shoot problems and resolve issues; ensure legal agreements mirror the commercials; coordinate with concerned teams; perform due diligence, achieve Quarterly and Annual Deal Targets and assist in exits.

Relationship Management:

- Maintain relationship with key position holders of existing and prospective clients and maintain rapport with internal departments like Response, Legal, Brand Comm with a long term perspective and to achieve client satisfaction.

Industry & Market Intelligence: Keep abreast with developments of the sector and create opportunities for HT Media.

Knowledge and skills:

- Knowledge of the Private Equity/Financial performance of companies

- Ability to build business through strong Business Development/Client servicing

- Excellent negotiation & decision making skills to ensure closures on contracts.

- Eye for detail

- Multi-Tasking

Education & Experience:

- MBA (Finance) from top tier B-school/ CA; Strong Academics

- 2-5 years of overall experience in Investment Banking/PE
