HT Media - eCommerce Head

- Build an E-commerce business from scratch in Hindustan Times. This will be a blend of Ed-Tech + E-commerce and thus providing multi-faceted challenges

- Execute a e commerce strategy while working with all the cross functional teams closely

- Work on user acquisition and engagement using site navigation improvement, content development, checkout funnel and promotional campaigns

Staff: Since the E-commerce Head will work with various teams, a team structure has been proposed in an image at the end of the Job Description.

Scope:

- E-commerce Head will be responsible for collaborating with all cross-functional partners to manage various aspects including planning, strategy and execution.

- Will continuously participate in the development and execution of strategic planning with other members of different divisions; thus supporting the overall vision.

- Will manage all the aspects of website related to - Ed-Tech + E-commerce- and communicate relevant information to Senior Leadership and cross-functional partners.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Go-to-Market Strategy:

a. Defining the annual business strategy as well as the detailed Roadmaps for the category

b. Working closely with cross functional teams such as Product, Business, Sales, Marketing, Content and Design

c. Creating state-wise or zone-wise plans and drive them accordingly.

2. Market Analysis:

a. Tracking the competitors to keep a close eye on the market and ensuring category growth is maintained/exceeds expectations

b. Providing quantitative/qualitative analysis to inform teams on general trends, product, competitors

c. Making tactical changes within the team to adapt to market conditions.
