Business Descriptor: &nbsp; Divisional -&nbsp; - To lead systems development for medium to large scale projects for RBWM by coordinating the activities of IT Development/Operations teams, user departments, and other service departments, and external parties such as software and hardware suppliers to deliver assigned projects on time, within budget and meeting appropriate levels of quality. The jobholder is the key player in the timely delivery of projects that meet business and regulatory needs. He would be ultimately responsible for all IT related project decisions and understand both the RBWM objectives and the development/operations team contribution for their assigned projects. In addition, he/she will be responsible for delivery of Retail digital. This is an important role as it involves managing Key digital initiatives / special projects. Principal Responsibilities - - Analyse user requirements and come up with a blue print of feasible systems solution. Lead the clear choice exercise wherever applicable. - Manage the full systems development life cycle (or project life cycle) from approved Clear Choice to Implementation to ensure business requirements are met or exceeded, on time and within budget in line with business targets - Define Critical Success Factors (CSFs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other objectives that must be met by the project - Create project plans using group standard tools - Produce effective progress reports for assigned projects to keep management apprised of project status, major issues, scope changes, resource changes and milestone achievements or misses - Facilitate and chair regular project meetings and follow up with team members as required to focus on business and operational issues or technical issues, documenting, assigning and monitoring all project issues to ensure clearance with minimal impact to project progress - Ensure that problems are managed and escalated efficiently with the minimum disruption to the business - Identify and engage all key stakeholders, contributors and business and technical resources that must participate in the assigned projects and ensure contributors are committed to complete assigned tasks within parameters of the project plan - Participate in the management of the relationship between the business and the IT Project team, managing business expectations and negotiating compromise - Engender a team approach to project delivery with an inclusive approach to decision-making and planning - Report progress and problems to management - Use negotiation skills when problems arise to achieve consensus amongst all project participants - Facilitate appropriate decision making to resolve issues and manage risk in order to keep the project on plan - Ensure accurate effort and expenditure figures are provided to IT Finance and Relationship Management - Ensure the Project Sponsor is informed of budget expenditure against expected expenditure - Engage and manage relationships with third party suppliers, identifying and monitoring dependencies between internal and external providers - Do market scouting, review product offering and recommend the solution for implementation. - Design the recomended solution as per Bank's need and ecosystem. External Qualifications/Requirements: - 8-12 years of IT background with 3-5 years in senior position is preferably in BFSI or ecommerce segment. - Have an excellent knowledge of the project lifecycle - Communication and interpersonal skills, including the capacity to articulate the case for IT investments and alternatives in the language of business - Strong commercial orientation, appreciating the business usage of systems developed - Strong risk awareness - identification, mitigation and control - Excellent skills and capabilities in people management, project management and technical management are required. - Have an excellent knowledge of the project lifecycle ( Agile/DevOps and Waterfall) - Technical knowledge Internet and Mobile Technologies, Mobile Wallets, encryption stanadards like PKI/hashing etc. - Excellent know how of internet/mobile security / PCI-DSS/PKI/SSL encryption etc. - Working knowledge of application server / middleware technologies like IBM Websphere, IIS. - Candidate should have implemented Internet facing applications or Mobility applications in BFSI or Retail segment. - Experience of having worked with DB technologies like Oracle, SQL server etc.
