Role Purpose -&nbsp; - The GPS (global payment services) Operation team supports Payments processing across regions. This team is responsible to ensure Payments are processed in a timely manner to meet the commitment made to our customers and business. With presence in 11 priority markets across 4 regions; the team covers circa 80% of payments traffic. - This role is expected to lead and drive the execution of multiple payments initiatives within Payments Business Services by partnering with lines of business and country Payments Operations Heads. - Within the wider Operations organization, Payment Business Services is a large work force, virtually spread across every geography where the Bank has a foot print, and the Global Service Centres located across 3 regions and 5 countries. - With the increasing focus on the group's regulatory commitments across continents, it is imperative that globally consistent controls and standards are ingrained into every new process or operational model that is set-up. - The role holder will lead a cross functional/virtual team to align resources towards the delivery of these goals and would be the senior focal point into Operations for all lines of business. Reporting to the Head of Payment Business Services, GSC's the role holder will be responsible for : - Effective management of an extensive network of stake holders within Operations, Global &amp; Regional payments teams and other global functions; to ensure accelerated and seamless roll out of GPS Changes from an Operations perspective - Responsible for designing the possible Solutions for various Business/Business requirements - Overall management of operational framework for GPS CoE including setup of procedures, quality checking model, management information reporting requirements, system setup and contingency preparedness - Ensure that standard practices around end to end workflow management, training, operational performance management is embedded into each process - Ensure that the standard set of operational requirements are defined, documented and then embedded as 'core' into each deployment/ release whilst ensuring appropriate documentation and sign off for any variance / deviation - Ensure that standard workflows are aligned to Payments Risk framework &amp; that every transition is managed with minimal/No operational disruption - Embed various controls into the day to day operation to ensure risk free operation and enhanced customer experience - Setup necessary governance to track and report all initiatives under GPS CoE - Full accountability for the leadership, coaching, objective setting, performance and absence management ensuring delivery of outstanding service - Recruit and build GPS CoE with key talent, in line with Payments growth strategy Experience / Qualifications:- - Graduate or Post Graduate in management / relevant stream - Experience of 15 to 20 years post qualification - Recognized as a subject matter expert in Payment Services business - experience working in banking environment is preferred - Knowledge of release management methodology, GPS Ops knowledge across various markets is essential - Strong business sense and awareness of the key issues/risks within the GPS management area - Team handling experience is essential - Fundamental knowledge of the multiple GPS Instances, customer front-end channels and an appreciation of payment specific technologies and infrastructure, in the market. - Highly developed management skills, with experience in team building and managing a wide range of projects - Excellent project management / Change management skills - Proven track record of project execution and delivery in payments domain, and effective stakeholder management
