Role Purpose : Responsible for the development and production of new and existing transactional reporting within GFX Operations. The role holder will be responsible for maintaining accurate and timely reporting for both external and internal reporting, including regulatory EMIR/DFA transaction reporting, Business Control Committee reporting, Industry Surveys such as CLS, Expand amongst many others. The candidate must demonstrate an analytical mind-set, advanced Excel, VBA and SQL server technical skills, attention to detail, and delivery to meet critical deadlines. Major Challenges: - Ability to produce and deliver timely and accurate control reporting within the timelines set. Challenge providers of commentary which does not make sense and ensure all risk items flagged accordingly. - Attention to detail, validating large sets of data for accuracy, identifying errors and rectifying them quickly under tight time lines - Being able to translate business / regulatory requirements into technical language to build reports from SQL server. - Ability to learn quickly. Understanding the product and processes, controls and risks. Having an analytical / change mindset, challenging the status quo, pushing the boundaries and continually evaluating the why. - Ability to produce and deliver timely and accurate control reporting within the timelines set. Challenge providers of commentary which does not make sense and ensure all risk items flagged accordingly. - Be able to communicate at all levels, building a partnership and relationship with key stakeholders. - Ongoing awareness of the operational processing functions, and provide assistance if required. Help maintain a low operating risk model and that appropriate escalation is followed at all times. - Pro-actively manage your own development; produce, maintain, and implement your own personal development plan, ensuring you take advantage of the tools available. - Identify specific training requirements and participate in HSBC Business School programs to help support your development alongside feedback from your Line Manager. - Understand, follow and demonstrate compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business - Ensure adherence to Conduct policy and procedures. Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications : - Advanced Microsoft Excel, ETL, DTS\SSRS, SQL, VBA & Access Coding, VBA, SQL Server technical skills (at least 5-9 years experience) - Hands on experience in MIS Reporting & Analytics, Data Visualization, Financial Data Analytics, Dashboard Creation - Strong analytical skills, problem solving self starter, with ability to champion and drive change - Strong leadership and teamwork skills - Strong organizational skills - ability to work under tight deadlines with attention to detail - Show initiative, a positive attitude, and leads by example Salary Offered : 10-16 LPA
