Third party Risk Management Manager Principal Accountabilities : Key activities and decision making areas : - The role holder will help businesses meet the requirements of the Group's third party risk management framework. Impact on the Business : - The role holder will help businesses meet the requirements of the Group's third party risk management framework. The key activities these 2 resources would support the AMG businesses at country and Global level are : Initial engagement/risk assessment/due diligence : a. Collation and summarizing of RFP responses from multiple third parties b. Complete risk assessment templates e.g. IRQs with standard information c. Track completion of third party security reviews and related actions d. Monitor and support completion of remediation activities emanating from risk assessments /due diligence In regards to ongoing monitoring and governance : a. Post implementation review to ensure service standards including Business Continuity requirements are being met. b. Tracking residual actions from risk assessments/reviews. c. Tracking, storage and retrieval of service packs and periodical KPIs and flag key issues d. Ongoing review of Archer dashboards for upcoming actions. e. Reporting to Governance forums; Third party oversight committee, RMM, Boards etc. f. Assurance reviews/audits/ actions based on trigger events (e.g. merger, negative news,) etc. Renewal or disengagement : - Manage alerts received from Archer on contract maturity by flagging to engagement owner for further action - The activities may also evolve over a period as we implement Archer and /or other tools for efficient management of the third party risks Customers / Stakeholders : - Develop and maintain strong working relationships across AMG Operations, 2nd line Risk Stewards and other Group and AMG stakeholders Leadership &amp; Teamwork : - Build - trusted advisor relationships with internal customers at a global and regional level to understand their objectives - Understand and manage stakeholders- requirements and expectations to ensure customer satisfaction - Accept overall responsibility and accountability for deliverables as required - Timely and effective performance management. - Collegiate working style with the ability to engage across all levels of management. Operational Effectiveness &amp; Control : - Ability to work accurately under pressure and to tight deadlines - Good influencing skills and interpersonal skills - Collaborating and fostering good relations with financial crime compliance and the entities. - Ability to manage multiple and conflicting priorities. - Adherence to Policy requirements Major Challenges (The challenges inherent in the role that require a continual test of the role holder's abilities) : - This role requires the jobholder to work across the complex geographic and functional teams to maintain and embed a healthy culture of compliance with Third Party Risk, etc, - Focus on driving consistency and reducing complexity. - Evolving landscape requiring the ability to embed change Administration Role Context (The environment and operating conditions of the role including the extent of guidance and authority) : - This role sits within the AMG Chief Transformation and administration function(CTAO). It is a central role in the Global COO function and will provide support for oversight and assurance of adherence to AMG businesses at country and Global level - AMG as part of the HSBC Group aligns well with the group's commitment on Conduct, adherence to Financial Crime Risk framework requirements and ongoing endeavor to meet evolving regulatory standards. Management of Risk (Operational Risk / FIM requirements) : - Observes Internal Controls (Compliance Policy / FIM requirements). - Understands, follows and demonstrates compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which the jobholder is involved, specifically Internal Controls and any Compliance policy including, inter alia, the Group Compliance policy. - Identify and develop robust solutions to mitigate the risks identified - Reporting and escalating, if necessary, issues for resolution Observation of Internal Controls (Compliance Policy / FIM requirements) : - Ensure all confidential and sensitive information is securely handled and destroyed as appropriate and no such information is divulged or made accessible to unauthorized persons. - Be aware of the operational risks associated with FCC and the AMG Operations and ensure processes are in place that take account of operational risk considerations. - Coordinate with functional leads to ensure processes and internal controls are in place to achieve satisfactory audit reports. Knowledge &amp; Experience / Qualifications (For the role - not the role holder. Minimum requirements of the role.) : - Asset Management or industry experience. - A track record of building relationships by communicating, influencing and negotiating effectively with business heads, senior managers, third party consultants, technical experts across the whole department and business users - Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) with an ability to communicate effectively via various channels with multiple business partners and other stakeholders on a global basis - Possess reporting and analytical skills, as well as the ability to bring analytical rigour, structure and consistency - Experience in providing timely, accurate and valuable reporting to senior management - Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail - The ability to take complete ownership of issues, work independently with confidence and deliver to deadlines in line with expectations is critically important. - Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability of organisational planning, resource mobilisation and problem solving. - Understanding of Financial Crime risk and asset management regulatory landscape at a general level. - Typical qualifications may include a Bachelor's degree/equivalent experience
