Role Purpose : The role owner is responsible for:- - The accurate &amp; timely execution of all MENA payroll operations conducted in India HR Service Centre - Ensuring ongoing adherence to the Global Payroll Strategy &amp; standards, which includes - Global Payroll Governance &amp; Reporting Standards - Global Payroll Risk&amp; Control Framework - Global Payroll Key Performance &amp; Risk Indicators - Driving operational excellence, productivity, automation and simplification - The successful implementation of any change impacting MENA Payroll operations. Working as part of the overall India HRSC team to improve employee experience across all HR services executed in India HRSC. Key Responsibilities : - Execute MENA payroll operations within agreed FTE &amp; AOP. - Drive productivity &amp; cost reduction across MENA payroll processes. - Manage risk by executing payroll services in line with the defined operational risk &amp; control frameworks. - In line with internal control standards, monitor the ongoing effectiveness of all controls, and enable the ongoing identification of operational &amp; regulatory risk (through ongoing reporting of MSII- s), ensuring clear mitigation plans are defined, tracked and implemented, where required - Promote sharing of practices and drive consistency across all teams within India HRSC, with the aim of improving overall operational efficiency &amp; accuracy. - For new approved projects that impact MENA payroll, engage in the definition of functional requirements and deliver in line with agreed timelines. Ensure impact is fully understood along with any new associated risks occurring as a result of the change. - Work with stakeholders to understand root cause of any service failures and define opportunities to enhance processes to prevent reoccurrence. - Drive an ongoing culture of continuous improvement. - In conjunction with the Payroll Service Owner, ensure all MENA payroll operations delivered have a robust and tested Business Continuity plan. - Drive a high performance and risk aware culture across the MENA payroll team, through strong leadership, ensuring all performance level agreements &amp; standards are achieved. - Build an engaged and cooperative team, through clear direction and communication. - Drive cultural change to bring out the continuous improvement ethos, and customer centric approach to delivery. - Act as a mentor to the team, providing regular monitoring &amp; coaching. - Ensure the efficient &amp; robust onboarding of new team members. - Ensure accurate&amp; timely execution of all MENA payroll services in line with agreed PLA- s&amp; SLA- s, providing visibility through production of KPI's to the Payroll Service Owner and other key stakeholders. - Build strong &amp; trusted relationships across all teams within India HRSC and the Regions/Countries you support, to ensure upstream impacts to Payroll are fully understood &amp; are actively managed to ensure no negative impact to pay delivery &amp; accuracy. - Identify and recognize opportunities to enhance and improve customer experience. - Identify and escalate to local management, any issues associated with the application of HR policies and initiatives - Actively promote the value of your team, through the provision of SME support on the Payroll services you deliver, to the wider HR function (our internal customers) Knowledge &amp; Experience / Qualifications:&nbsp; - Detailed knowledge of payroll and experience of leading a country payroll operational team. - Proven ability to demonstrate strong leadership and stakeholder management skills. - Excellent planning and organisation skills - Good analytical skills &amp; decision making. - Deep understanding of operational risk &amp; experience in identifying&amp; implementing controls to mitigate such risks. - Sound knowledge of LEAN and experience in delivering continuous process improvements. - Ability to work under pressure in a matrix environment with conflicting demands. - Sound judgmental skills to identify and resolve challenges and issues
