Business / Function : Cross Asset Role : FRTB Regulatory Business Analyst, Global Markets, Bangalore Overview : Highlights of department : The Fundamental Review of the Trading Book (FRTB) is a key strategic Programme to ensure HSBC meets the regulatory requirements stipulated by FRTB. The Programme covers impacts on Markets front office, Traded Risk, Product Control and interacts with the transformation as well as run the bank teams in these areas. Responsible For : The Analyst would work within the team responsible for assessing the impact of the new regulations, supporting gap analysis against current capabilities and ensuring the relevant regulatory requirements are embedded in business requirement documents. The role will also support the attestation of capabilities in preparation for regulatory model submission. Key responsibilities would include : - Impact assessment through assessment of new regulatory requirements - Understanding, documenting and assessing current state of systems and processes - Identification of gaps of current capabilities against the latest regulatory requirements - Review of business requirement documents and epics to ensure traceability of regulatory requirements into these - Coordination with different teams to ensure successful testing of new capabilities to demonstrate compliance with the regulatory requirements - Management of self-attestation of capabilities against the new regulatory rules and standards to demonstrate compliance with the FRTB rules ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE : - Extensive experience of Market Risk calculation, management and monitoring methodology and processes - Experience of managing regulatory change in a complex, front-to-back environment - Business Analysis capabilities with hands-on documentation and testing experience IDEAL EXPERIENCE : - Experience on capital calculations for trading activities - Prior exposure to FRTB - Understanding of current regulations in a large jurisdiction (Europe/UK) ESSENTIAL SKILLS/COMPETENCIES : - Business and process analysis, process mapping
