Purpose of Department : Wholesale Portfolio Management (WPM) is a part of Global Banking & Markets (GBM) and is responsible for the active portfolio management for both GBM & CMB globally. Portfolio Management Analytics (PM Analytics) within WPM is responsible for the portfolio analysis to deliver actionable insights on the global Wholesale Portfolio. Portfolio Analysis involves analysing the existing portfolio data, trends, early warning tools, etc. in order to provide actionable portfolio risk/profitability insights to the senior management. PM Analytics is also responsible for owning/enhancing and maintenance of the methodology and pricing application used at origination. The Pricing application aids decision making, resulting in more informed conclusions being drawn regarding the risk, return, profitability and viability of proposed transactions. Job Description : - The incumbent will be required to work extensively in an integrated team environment to support deal origination, portfolio analysis and reviews, and recommend execution of credit risk and capital mitigating transactions - Focus on contributing towards strategic objectives of RWA optimization at regional and global levels and improving profitability - Analyse the credit risk composition and the drivers of credit risk & profitability metrics of the global wholesale credit & lending portfolio - Identify Early Warning signals using Moody's Credit Edge indicators, Industry/sector news, Macro economic outlook, change in regional or global outlook and macro-economic factors - Help analyst in developing an in-depth expertise in the assigned sector, industry, region, country and client relationships within the portfolio - Conduct deep dive analysis on the low return clients and analysis of the key exposures in terms of loans and advances, net interest margin, limit, utilisation and RWA - Develop and build an understanding of key metrics of credit risk portfolio, such as Expected Loss, Risk Weighted Assets, Exposure at Default, Probability of Default, Credit Risk Rating and Loss Given Default - Develop an understanding of the pricing mechanism - the Pricing tool and the drivers of the risk exposures and provide directional guidance through management information packs with well-informed commentaries on the foreseeable trends and pitfalls in the business proposal pricing methodology and the subsequent dimensions (i.e. for a region, country, sector, SBU, client etc.) of the origination book - Work independently; lead execution on straightforward situations; effectively deploy internal and external resources - Manage and lead analyst involvement on projects; participate in the training of analysts - Share information, knowledge and ideas with the team - Understand and ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which the jobholder is involved Skills/Experience required: - Must have 4 - 8 years of relevant work experience - MBA in Finance from a reputed institute (IIT,IIM only) - Mandatory professional qualifications like CFA, FRM required - Experience required in credit risk concepts and risk & return profitability measures - Good understanding of corporate finance, banking and associated Bank book products & trading-book products - Understanding of accounting principles, especially fair valuation, general and specific loan loss provisions is preferable - Competency in Microsoft office applications, especially MS Excel, Power-point presentations - Additional capability to understand and interpret SQL/SAS or database queries will be preferred - Graduate level qualification in any of these disciplines (B.E/B.Tech/BBA/BBM/B.com/B.Sc) - Excellent communications - written and verbal and interpersonal / team skills - Experience and ability to operate in a global setting / interact with Business Partners and Senior Management Work Location: Bangalore Work Timings: UK shift (Transport provided) - Interested candidate please share your updated resume with Archana Shivannavar
