The Opportunity :

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our Global Research (GR) team in the role of AVP Global Research in Bangalore.

Global Research overview: Delivering high-quality research and analysis to investors around the world, the Global Research (GR) team covers economics, currencies, equities, fixed income and climate change to help our clients best navigate and make sense of turbulent global financial markets. GR offers fundamental, cross-asset, technical and quantitative analysis presented through multiple platforms and formats. Through its multi-asset and geographical reach GR enables clients to understand the big events unfolding today and their investment implications through nine big themes : Automation, Demographics, Digital Finance, Disruptive Technology, Energy Transition, Future Cities, Future Consumer, Future Transport, Lower for Longer. GR has a deep background in emerging and developed markets, collaborating across the asset classes in key economies and industries at the centre of today's disruption. Together with its expertise in Data Science, Climate Change, and ESG, the themes provide a lens to view and understand this fast changing world.

What you'll do :

- As part of the GR team based in Bangalore, the Equity Research Associate will work closely with the global teams in producing high quality research of a designated geography and sector.

- The associate will be involved in developing industry expertise/insights, analysing data, building models, writing research reports and generating investment ideas to assist our institutional clients.

- Build and maintain financial models.

- Develop strong company and industry knowledge.

- Carry out analysis on market share, macro trend, and cross-company and sub-sector data.

- Conduct statistical analysis of economic data, fundamentals, and relevant correlations of data.

- Attend companies' conference calls and produce briefing notes.

- Prepare/update periodical reports and marketing presentations.

- Update and maintain daily valuation sheets.

- Assist in writing research reports and preparing responses to client requests and inquiries

Qualifications :

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements :

- MBA and/or a CA/CFA from a reputed college with 5+ years of work experience in an equity research firm.

- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in understanding of financial statements, financial models and valuation methodologies (e.g., DCF, relative valuation).

- Strong verbal / written communication with the ability to articulate ideas and thoughts in a structured manner.

- Ability to build positive relationships and communicate with global partners.

- Should be a result oriented, hardworking, dedicated individual who can work independently with a strong ownership of tasks, and deliver on time with a high level of integrity, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency.

- Working knowledge of data sources such as Bloomberg, Datastream, CEIC.
