Purpose of Department :- Wholesale Credit &amp; Market Risk [WMR] is responsible for the approvals, policies, portfolio management and reporting on the Group's Wholesale Credit and Market Risk exposures. The Credit Risk team supports WMR by performing credit approval recommendations for relationships falling within the Business Banking / Mid Market / Large Corporate / Global Banking / Financial Institutions Group portfolio. The team also validates Enterprise Valuations for leveraged lending deals, which is a key US Regulatory requirement. The current role entails reviewing credit submissions in the Financial Institutions Group [FIG] segment, challenging the Relationship Manager's proposition where required and recommending a lending position within delegated authority after suitably mitigating the Bank's risks. Key Accountabilities :- - Analyse corporate counterparties in the FIG (financial institutions group) Segment of US and recommend an appropriate lending position. - Independently validate Enterprise Valuation submissions from the frontline business teams. - Work independently on credit proposals to reach a solution in close and constructive collaboration with colleagues within WMR CoE, Wholesale Credit Risk and Business Teams - Participate in credit / risk meetings with Front Office / US WMR colleagues. - Closely monitor risk events and be able to timely escalate to management. - Prepare for audit, regulatory initiatives and internal projects pertaining to credit risk management - Represent WMR CoE in Shared Services and New Business initiatives where required Skills and Experience -&nbsp; - Graduate degree in commerce/ economics/ management/ engineering. Qualifications in Finance/ CA/ ICWA/ CS/ CAIIB preferred. - 9+ years of relevant experience in Large Corporate Credit / Bank / NBFI assessments in a reputed Bank / Financial Institution - Strong understanding of financial statement analysis, credit lending products and dynamics around the working of financial institutions / banks / insurance companies etc. - Strong analytical skills to quickly interpret data &amp; facts to arrive at meaningful conclusions - Excellent interpersonal; communication and negotiation skills - Customer centric mind-set
