Randstad is embarking on an exciting new journey to expand the portfolio of services delivered from our Global Capability Center in Hyderabad. With five Centre of excellences covering talent services, HR, financial & knowledge services, IT and Marketing, the Global Capability Center will be a strategic enabler for Randstad and will play a crucial role in helping us become the most equitable and specialized talent company in the world. To get there, we are looking at expanding and strengthening our leadership team. The HR Shared Services Leader is responsible for overseeing HR service delivery, managing a team, and ensuring the efficient and compliant execution of hire-to-retire processes. This role involves leadership and team management, setting performance expectations, and driving process improvement initiatives.

The HR Shared Services Leader is accountable for service quality, adhering to regulations, and safeguarding sensitive employee data. Collaborating with HR partners and stakeholders to address HR-related issues is essential, as is staying current with industry trends. This position may contribute to strategic planning, manage budgets, oversee HR technology, and facilitate training and development for the team. Ultimately, the HR Shared Services Leader plays a pivotal role in delivering high-quality HR services and enhancing the overall employee experience.

The HR Shared Services Leader will report to the GCC leader and also to the APAC CHRO. The reporting structure is designed to ensure that the HR Shared Services Leader has access to senior leadership, can align HR service delivery with the organization's strategic goals, and receives guidance and support to effectively manage HR operations and services within the shared services function. Additionally, this reporting relationship allows for seamless communication and coordination between the HR shared services team and the broader HR function.

Priorities for the role include:

Service Delivery Management:


- Oversee and manage all HR shared services functions, from Hire-to-Retire covering HR operations, employee onboarding, benefits administration, payroll processing, employee data management, ITA, and offboarding.

- Improve the process efficiency and effectiveness, and track and report value on cost and time. This may involve automating tasks, implementing new technologies, and streamlining workflows.

- Ensure the accurate and timely delivery of HR services to meet established SLAs (Service Level Agreements).

- Monitor key performance metrics and continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.

- Lead and develop a high-performing offshore HR shared services team, providing coaching, mentorship, and support.

- Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.

- Set clear performance expectations and conduct regular performance reviews.

Compliance and Risk Management:


- Ensure HR processes and practices are in compliance with local labor laws, regulations, and company policies.

- Implement and maintain data privacy and security measures to protect sensitive employee information.

- Identify and mitigate potential risks related to HR service delivery.

Stakeholder Engagement:


- Collaborate closely with HR partners, business leaders, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and align HR services accordingly.

- Proactively communicate with internal clients and provide solutions to HR-related issues.

Continuous Improvement:


- Drive process optimization initiatives to enhance HR service quality and efficiency.

- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in HR shared services to bring innovative ideas to Randstad.

Technical skills for the role include:

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus (note in India, most will be Masters / MBA in HR).

- 15+ years of HR experience with at least 5+ years in a leadership role within global HR shared services.

- Strong understanding of HR processes, including hire to retire, payroll, ITA, benefits administration, and employee data management.

- Excellent leadership and team management skills.

- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement and streamline operations.

- Knowledge of relevant employment laws and regulations.

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

- Proven ability to work effectively in a global, diverse, and fast-paced environment.

- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is preferred.

- Demonstrated ability to solve problems and drive results with a sense of urgency in setting strategies and executing against the objectives

- Strong delivery skills

Process expertise: HR shared services leaders need to have a deep understanding of HR processes and procedures. S/he is able to identify and implement efficiencies, and be able to ensure that their team is following best practices.
