HR PMO Expert - 6 months Contractual role with Leading Life Insurance Company, Mumbai

Job description for HR PMO :

Ourclientis looking for a dedicated individual to join their team as a HR PMO for CHRO office. The individual will support Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO) to manage the activities in the HR function by ensuring programs and projects meet organizational goals, will oversee the work of project and ensure that department goals are met. Reporting to the CHRO, the HR PMO will partner with the HR function to understand the broader needs of the function, the organization and ensure the HR PMO is properly engaged with the right strategic programs and projects.

HR PMO Responsibilities :

- The responsibilities of the PMO include managing the day-to-day activities, providing support and overseeing project management. Collaborate with functional leaders of HR to develop projects and programs.

- Demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to well organize and able to work under pressure.

- Collaborating with functional leaders of HR to define, prioritize, and develop projects.

- Manage the project request prioritization and resource planning process. This requires ensuring there is timely reporting to allow for future planning of project/program management, consulting requests and resources across the HR organization

- Planning project management, including setting deadlines, prioritizing tasks, and assigning team members to various deliverables.

- Analysing financial data, including project budgets, risks, and resource allocation.

- Providing financial reports and budget outlines to CHRO.

- Overseeing the development of the project and ensuring that progress is carrying out efficiently.

- Drafting new and improving existing project management office policies and processes.

- Continuously evaluating projects to ensure they are meeting company standards, adhering to budgets, and meeting deadlines.

- Accurately documenting the project's creation, development, and execution as well as documenting the project's scope, budget, and justification.

- Actively engage in managing projects or programs and other business initiatives.

- Drive best practices, promote knowledge sharing and close collaboration within the HR function.

- Create and maintain dashboards that provide leadership insight to CHRO on project portfolio

- Proficient in reporting overall PMO progress through reports and dashboards such as Smartsheet or other similar project management tools

- Continue to evolve and develop the purpose, engagement, framework, and offerings.

HR PMO Requirements :

- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Administration, or a related field.

- A minimum of five years' experience in the industry.

- Strong leadership skills.

- Good written and verbal communication skills.

- Strong attention to details and technicalities.

- Excellent organizational and technical skills.

- Good interpersonal and multi-tasking skills.

Minimum Qualifications :

- Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple demands

- Understanding of project management within a fast-paced and dynamic organization

- Experience leading and building successful PMO teams or teams of project/program managers

- Demonstrated ability to manage and develop a geographically distributed team

- Proven teamwork skills with demonstrated abilities to work collaboratively and able to influence those with whom no formal hierarchical relationship exists

- Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills

- Highly organized, exceptional time management and task prioritization abilities

- Experience using spreadsheet, PowerPoint presentation and other project management systems.
