Salary - as per norms

Qualification - MBA degree in HR from a A/B Grade Business school.

Work experience - 10+ years of relevant experience with an MBA degree in HR

Main Purpose

The main purpose of the Human Resources (HR) Manager role is to support the business and growth strategy of the region by building a robust HR organisation from the scratch. Works with the Regional HR Director and Business Unit Directors to deliver the divisional people strategy and embed good people management practices. Works with operational management to ensure the business meets its strategic and operational goals and actively supports the operation of the business by providing strategic and tactical human resource leadership and services in all HR areas, including direct line management responsibility for the HR Delivery teams.

Duties and Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning

- Participates in the development of business strategy. Provokes thinking through providing realistic view of organisation capability

- Creates solutions with the business that delivers organisational alignment.

- Understands trends in the industry and the broader external environment and their implications. Translates this into highly effective, value-driven people strategies

- Supports the establishment of people and organisational strategy. Increases the influence of the function on the overall business strategy

- Challenges the business to ensure that organisational processes and systems are aligned with and informing business goals. Interprets a wide range of complex issues and drivers for individuals teams and organisations

Build Organisation Capability

- Identifies organisational capabilities that support business strategy. Identifies current capability gaps and develops strategies to close them.

- Ensures these strategies are deployed and evaluates their impact, taking additional actions where required

- Builds commitment for HR strategies across organisational boundaries and mobilises others into action and delivery

- Advises senior management of ways to improve their own and their peoples’ effectiveness

- Develops & facilitates the design & implementation of major change programmes

- Acts as a champion of employee engagement initiatives which are implemented at Territory or Contract level

- Acts as a catalyst, confronting issues & creating the impetus for timely & continuous change

- Ensures that profiling of leadership roles is undertaken within their business units and leadership development plans are implemented and owned by the business Directors.

- Acts as the lead in implementation of Emerging Leaders programme within their business units;

- Works closely with the operations and program leaders to ensure growth of the contracts is planned and coordinated and resourced effectively

- Leads and acts in accordance with the Governing Principles of clients' at all times and is a champion of the Governing Principles within their contracts.

Growth and Financials

1. Drives for delivery against quality and cost standards agreed with the business;

2. Works closely with BD Team to ensure new bids in the business unit are planned and

3. Coordinated and resourced effectively;

4. Develops people solutions that will delight customers to ensure thatclients' can deliver highly competitive bids, with the aim being to maximise value to the client, to secure the growth of the business;\

5. Supports the transition and mobilisation of new contracts.

HR Service Delivery

1. Ensures the effective delivery of all HR services through all channels, in order to meet business requirements

2. Develops HR policies and processes to ensure that they meet the needs of the business area that they support.

3. Empowers people to take accountability for results. Takes on tough challenges requiring determination and sees them through to successful outcomes for the business.

4. Drives for delivery against quality and cost standards agreed with the business
