ROLE SUMMARY:

The role holder is responsible for executing and delivering the HCM strategy in line with business strategy. The role holder is also responsible for managing all the stages of the employee life cycle (talent attraction, recruitment, on-boarding, development, retention and separation) for respective Business Unit (BU) and identify innovative practices/programs to ensure high level of employee engagement at all times.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

HCM Strategy

- Assists the HCM and BU Leadership in development of HCM strategy and reviews and analyzes BU data to identify trends and recommend solutions to improve performance, retention and employee experience.

- Conducts review meetings with BU Head to track progress on established plan/ timelines and identify corrective action / measures as required.

Manpower Planning & Recruitment

- Works closely with key stakeholders from Business to identify manpower requirements in line with business objectives and ensuring maximum productivity.

- Determines the open positions in the respective BU and coordinates with the key stakeholders involved (Candidate, Line Manager, HCM Operations etc.) for recruitment-related activities and interview processes.

- Reviews recruitment gaps on a monthly/ quarterly basis to ensure adherence to HC budgets and minimization of hiring gaps across all levels.

- Drives implementation of key initiatives to decrease voluntary attrition and increase employee productivity in partnership with stakeholders from Business.

Performance Management

- Coordinates with business to ensure timely completion of all stages of the PMS & APR process by periodic communication with the concerned stakeholders and timely resolution of any issues / challenges.

- Assists in smooth management of performance appraisal outcomes and other employee lifecycle activities such as promotions, transfers, rotations, and succession planning.

Learning & Development

- Coordinates with stakeholders from Business and L&D team to ensure identification of learning & development needs of the BU.

- Works closely with key stakeholders from L&D team on a monthly / quarterly basis to address any challenges / issues in delivery of relevant training interventions as per established plan.

Employee Engagement

- Works closely with stakeholders from Business to drive BU specific and PAN Bank employee engagement activities / interventions.

- Analyzes data, identifies trends and suggests solutions to BU Head on talent management and way forward for identified high potential employees.

Employee Relations

- Communicates relevant regulatory, information security, bank policies and guidelines to reduce cases of code of conduct / fraud.

HR Costs

- Identifies new avenues to reduce dependency on cost intensive sources and identify and maximize the utilization of cost effective sourcing channels.

- Ensures adherence to grade fitment and other guidelines related to recruitment / compensation and ensures minimization of exceptions.

Employee Risk

- Drives awareness about relevant regulatory, information security, bank policies and guidelines to reduce cases of code of conduct / fraud.

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Monitors and enables the achievement of goals and key performance indicators for direct reports and ensures effective implementation of the performance management process in the section.

- Develops talent within the team by providing guidance, ongoing feedback, coaching and development opportunities to individuals to enable achievement of the defined goals.

RISK & INTERNAL CONTROL:

- Implements the risk policies and processes (operational, regulatory, financial, informational, reputational and audit risks), ensuring that that these meet regulatory and internal requirements.

- Implements the internal control systems in the department and participates in the departmental audits.

- Implements practices to bridge gaps identified during departmental audits.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE

- Minimum 12 years of experience with atleast 5 years in similar role

EDUCATION

- Master's degree in Human Resource Management
