Head of HR - Supply Chain will have the following responsibilities:
- Partner Supply Chain and Logistics Directors and their leadership team to help define their functional strategy
- Understand and assess key customer requirements and align the people plan to them
- Embed the end to end Supply Chain ways of working, through supporting process and behavioural change
- Support effective delivery of end to end Supply Chain change programmes as appropriate
- Drive the integration of Logistics into the business unit and with Supply Chain
- Set the strategy and deliver the transition of the current network into the new single tier network
- Ensure effective delivery of a sustainable people plan for Supply Chain and Logistics, through working in partnership with HR Centres of Excellence and the HR Shared Services
- Leadership of HR function within Supply Chain and Logistics
- Development of leadership teams and general line management capability, including identification of key talent and succession. This includes taking a lead for talent for Supply Chain and Logistics across the brand
- Drive engagement in partnership with the leadership team, specifically ensuring that the business grows its direct relationship with its employees
- Drive high performance
- Ensure that the Supply Chain and Logistics teams live the brand values
The Successful Applicant
The successful Head of HR - Supply Chain will have the following attributes:
- Understanding of end to end processes of Supply Chain and Logistics and the key connecting functions
- Broad HR knowledge, with focuses on organisational development, talent and succession, driving engagement and leadership development
- Strong IR and ER background (preferably TUPE and redundancy experience)
- Strong coaching ability
- Ability to build strong and lasting relationships at all levels of an organisation
- Good influencing and communication skills
- Ability to think strategically and then turn it into practical outputs and actions, including exposure to business planning, profit and loss delivery and delivery of commercial KPI s
- Strong commerciality and the ability to use data to guide critical decision-making
- Experience in mechanised Logistics and/or Manufacturing
- Multichannel experience would be beneficial
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing or Six Sigma type methodologies would be beneficial
- Experience working in a corporate or Head Office environment in retail, FMCG, manufacturing or engineering
- Has previously business partnered at Director level
- Experience of working with Third Party Logistics Providers
