Head HR Position with one of the Financial Services organisation for their Finance Shared BU.

HR Generalist Role:

Responsibilities / Activities

Strategy / Governance / Policy:

- Provides strategic HR support related to human capital management that enables client managers turn business strategy into business practice and results.

- Propagates use of HR best practice among HRA’s and line managers.

Leadership / Management:

- Acts as interface and advisory point of contact to the stakeholders representing client specific needs to HR management/ leadership bodies.

- May manage functionally/ regionally aligned HR Advisors as required. Manages staff to ensure consistency and quality of work, career paths, and succession planning

- May lead or participate in special projects.

- May commission HR projects and consign them to Process Experts as required

- Provides coaching and guidance to more junior HR team members in designing solutions to human resources problems/ issues.

Client / Employee Relations:

- Acts as key advisor to client management team. Attends and actively participates in client management team meetings.

- Facilitates development of work culture and climate to meet business and employee needs.

- Liaison with colleagues in other locations and divisions on HR issues and initiatives

- Supports, coaches, and advises Client Managers in resolution of critical individual HR cases.

- Provides HR advisory services to client groups on all HR related processes and issues

- Recognized as a trusted HR advisor to the management team(s) of assigned client departments/ divisions.

- Manages employee grievances/ complaints. Lead and/or support investigation and mitigation as required while working with Employee Relations, LCD and Line Management.

Functional / Process Group:

- Makes a significant contribution to the implementation and execution of HR policy and procedures.

- Facilitates access of client groups to improved HR services by partnering with HR Subject Matter Experts, Process Experts, and HR/SDC to deliver outstanding compensation, benefits, diversity, learning, employee development, talent and succession planning, human capital management, immigration/visa issues, international assignment management, promotions, performance management, mobility, terminations, employee exiting and off-boarding due to separation, reductions in force and employee retention support.

- Manages HR to full compliance with applicable employment laws and company policies.

- Participates /supports the lateral and campus recruiting process to ensure appropriate technical and managerial talent is sourced to meet business needs.

- Anticipates and responds to critical HR related problems and issues. Applies deep knowledge of human resources programs, policies, and practices to resolve these critical employee relations issues. (Often complex and arising with little warning)

- May engage the HR SDC directly (e.g., Case Management Specialists) to resolve queries / issues on behalf of client group members
