A) Purpose of Position

This role is that of a Generalist HR and will involve handling Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Talent Development, OD Interventions, Employee Relations, and Induction & Onboarding. The person would also be responsible for smooth execution of HR Processes like Performance Management System, Joining, Driving HR Initiatives such as like Competency Framework rollout, Assessment Centres, 360 degree appraisals, Culture Initiative rollout, Employee Engagement, Rewards & Recognition Schemes.

B) Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition:

- Developing new recruitment / selection strategies.

- Managing the complete recruitment life cycle for sourcing the best talent from diverse sources with strong focus at cost.

- Work closely with Functional Heads for Manpower Planning & Budgeting,

- Assessment & forecasting the future Manpower requirements based on Annual Business Plan. Draw business specific HR Strategy,

Learning & Development:

- Laying down the Learning & Development objectives and strategy for the company

- Develop the training matrix and facilitate delivery through in-house capability or external faculty.

Employee Engagement:

- Plan and organize for engagement activities as per the needs of the business.

- Plan and conduct engagement surveys for the unit.

- Own responsibility for post survey action planning and deployment.

- Design and deploy HR interventions to improve employee engagement.

- Implement Fun at Workplace and other employee engagement activities.

OD Interventions

- Coaching & Mentoring

- Competency Mapping & Framework

- Assessment Centres

Performance Management:

- Implement the performance management system/cycle.

- Ensure performance issues are addressed, including consequence management.

- Implement rewards and recognition mechanism and monitor progress / effectiveness of these initiatives.

- Support managers on normalization and compensation increase planning.

- Ensure that poor performance management guidelines are followed for the unit

Induction & Lateral Orientation:

- Deliver HR sessions for frontline staff and train lateral hires on HR policies & procedure.

- Partner with Employee Development team to ensure training needs of the unit are covered.

HR Projects & Interventions:

- Work on corporate projects as per need. Scope : Design and deployment

D) TECHNICAL / SPECIALIST SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

- Effective Communication skill : should know ‘when to speak ; what to speak and how to speak’

- Writing & Presentation skill: perfect e-mail generation and note making ability, content should reveal an intelligent, creative and well-read mind.

- Should be able to influence and negotiate with internal & external stakeholders and convince them about organizational view point

- Should be able to value add to interview panel

- Should be able to swim against the tide

- Should be able to make his/her presence felt at meetings, conferences, office parties and other gatherings.

- Should be good at planning & organizing; should be able to organize his/ her own mailbox, files, schedule, calendar, etc.

- Should be a ‘sincerity’ with ‘creativity’ combination

- Should be passionate about HR

- Should be able to take HR processes & practices beyond the obvious & cross the run-of-the-mill barrier

- Preferably a HR Generalist with strong conceptual knowledge about different HR processes
