Country HR Manager - Mumbai

Providing international operational and leadership HR expertise locally, your role will see you ensure that the day-to-day delivery of HR services is of the highest quality. Your relationship management skills, attention to detail and exceptional customer service skills will all serve you well in this role, as will your outgoing, approachable person. Reporting to the Regional Head of HR to support local HR and Leadership teams on all people related matters, you will have the opportunity to use your expertise as an experienced HR professional.

Working as part of a wider, close-knit Regional team, you will also collaborate with our Regional HR generalists and specialists around the Region to support the implementation of Regional, and Global HR initiatives into your region.

Key Objectives

- Actively mentor and coach the local HR team member/s to ensure positive and effective engagement with the local practice a key task of this role is to elevate the presence of HR and to actively support the development of HR team/s in Mumbai.

- Develop key stakeholder relationships in the India business and provide exceptional, HR Best Practice advice on people matters and appropriate leadership behaviours of an International practice

General HR Objectives

- To implement regional HR strategies in line with the India business strategy/plan through empowering the local business partner to support future HR strategic implementations.

- Taking the local business partner with you on this journey, support the Regional Head of HR in implementation of appropriate Global HR initiatives locally.

- Success will be measured on appropriate support against the current Employee Engagement Survey Results Action Plan and supporting leaders in driving positive change in the India business as well as developing the HR Consultant in Mumbai on how to analyse and manage results in a professional manner that will positively impact the business in the future.

- Establish the key relation with all staff and identify the additional needs or understand the gaps in the existing procedures or practices (if any) and update them as appropriate.

- Ensure seamless experience for all the staff and other people associated to management and organisational goals

- Champion the organisational culture, promoting our vision, values and goals and drive a cohesive and sustainable employment brand

Accountabilities:

- As a key member of the India business, providing guidance and direction in People-, and HR related matters to assist local business leaders in driving a high performance culture

- As a key member of the Regional HR team, ensuring consistency of local, regional and global HR practises through close collaboration with team members in Asia and the Middle East

- Developing relationships with, and working alongside managers and other key stakeholders in India to ensure the alignment of HR plans within the India business plan framework

- Owning the India HR data to ensure that the data, metrics and analysis are of highest quality

- Owning the employee soft skill, wellbeing and any other needs and develop and identify the training needs

- Achieves and maintains high morale among employees

- Lead and Support to get well-trained and well-motivated employees for the business. Ensuring that the recruitment and selection process attracts and retains high calibre talent in line with the business strategies and succession planning framework

- Working with the Regional Head of HR, utilising Global HR frameworks for talent management, learning & development, succession planning, global mobility, employee engagement, retention and remuneration

- Working alongside managers to ensure the optimal departmental structure and reporting relationships are in place to deliver business objectives

- Providing support, guidance and coaching key stakeholders in people management and communications of the annual performance management process and coordinating relevant training where appropriate

Required Qualifications, Experience and Skills

- Relevant Bachelors Degree or higher level

- Qualified (ideally recognised global equivalent) HR practitioner

- Minimum of 10 years experience in HR Management

- Previous experience of working for a Multinational Company abroad (outside India and preferably in the UK)
