HR Consultant Under the general direction, guidance, and oversight of a Human Resources Manager, applies a comprehensive understanding of the business and human resources expertise to strategic business planning and execution. Builds and maintains a valued advisor relationship with leadership, consults on organization and people strategies, monitors business performance with an emphasis on people-related metrics and trends, and delivers Human Resource solutions that are timely and effectively address business issues and needs.

Responsibilities:

- Build and maintain a thorough understanding of the business and business strategy and strong business relationships with senior management. Participate in executive staff meetings and attends relevant team meetings to ensure HR actions support key business initiatives.

- Demonstrate business acumen necessary to drive HR initiatives and increase employee engagement through implementation of global workforce and organizational strategies aligned with business needs, objectives and goals

- Partner with business leaders to create and implement plans to drive adoption and utilization of change initiatives to achieve business results. Change initiatives may include changes in business processes, systems and technology, job roles and/or organization structures.

- Support, implement and sustain Human Resource strategies, programs and initiatives to attract, develop and retain the very best people

- Monitor and analyze data and trends to identify potential opportunities, needs, risks, and issues that could impact business results. Operationalize HR initiatives, quantifying results, and monitor /measure effectiveness

- Work closely with managers on workforce planning and monitoring

- Partner with leaders to oversee and provide recommendations and guidance on creating culture committed to employee engagement, development and growth by coaching and advising managers on talent assessment, career planning, and performance management

- Ensure compliance on HR-related company guidelines and policies, as well as compliance with all regional, country, local, and company regulations

- Facilitate communication among partners and management; providing guidance and leadership to managers and partners on dispute resolution, disciplinary action, career development, regulatory compliance, problem solving, reductions in force and litigation avoidance

- Partner with leaders on employee relations issues, including providing fact based, consistent recommendations for Performance Improvement Plans and terminations

- Participate in employee relations investigations and conduct research into matters, including litigation requests, as appropriate

- Effectively represent and partner with all global HR functional areas by conducting needs assessments, educating clients about HR capabilities, and engaging the appropriate HR partners in a timely manner

- Interpret and answer policy and HR-related questions consistently

- Maintain an awareness and partner with Talent Acquisition to help achieve a high quality talent pipeline

- Provide ongoing reporting and recommendations for assigned business groups

- Facilitate exit interviews, identify trends & provide proactive solutions to mitigate unwanted turnover

- Coach and develop managers to become more effective as leaders and managers

- Assess and provide recommendations on overall talent management, succession planning, and training needs

- Assist with corporate HR projects as needed

Regional/Non-Hub Specific Responsibilities:

- Perform HR generalist duties, as required, in smaller locations or regions, where resources or specialization is not available due to geographic, travel, or other budgetary or time limitations

- Serve as the on-site HR representative for all employees; maintain an open door policy with employees and direct individuals to appropriate contacts for payroll and benefits

- Lead response to employee relations issues such as employee complaints/grievances, harassment allegations, and civil rights complaints; liaise with external legal experts as necessary

- Discuss training needs with Business Unit Performance Consultant or applicable talent development team representatives, and may facilitate and/or provide HR training to managers

- Liaise with external market data providers gather competitor market intelligence, and provide relevant data to the compensation team for analysis.
