HR Business Partner - Investment Bank

Role:

Business Partnering & People Planning

- Supports the businesses and specifically partners with the management team to understand their people challenges/needs. Formulates an annual people plan to address these challenges engaging business and specialist stakeholders to deliver the plan.

- Provides advice and guidance to business stakeholders on HR related matters such as employee relations, performance management, the annual HR cycle, HR initiatives. Constructively challenges the business to ensure that the right behaviours/decisions are made in line with the values and policies.

- Works collaboratively with HR colleagues in their site and also within the community. Shares information, identifies opportunities to work together and connects with the relevant stakeholders to ensure a joined up HR approach.

Responsibility:

- Broad Generalist HR experience -ideally gained within a global Financial Services environment

- Knowledge of employment law

- Accurate and detail conscious, able to quickly spot errors in data and respond with clarification and explanation.

- Competent user of Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel) and experience of HR Systems (Peoplesoft)

- Proactive self starter and able to work alone with minimal supervision/support, however needs to work very collaboratively with line manager and other team members

- Able to deal with high volume with a mix of operational and strategic deliverables

- Confident and clear communicator (both written and oral) and ability to liaise with challenging client base.

- Objective, able and willing to appropriately challenge / advise management on key issues.

- Team Player across immediate team and across HR function.

- Ability to process administrative tasks and manage own responsibilities with minimal supervision.

- Customer focused, highly driven, energetic and has a positive attitude, independent and proactive.

- Ability to deal with a complex and at times ambiguous environment
