We are at present having a senior position as PLANT - HRBP for a reputed Indian EPC company for THEIR MANUFACTURING PLANT at HALDIA location

Job Description : Senior / Chief Manager - Plant HR

Job Title : Senior/ Chief Manager - Plant HR

Location : Haldia

Department : Plant HR

Reports To : Head - Plant HR

1. Purpose:

- The position is envisaged to assist in HR organizational transformation, developing human capital capabilities and creating a great place to work, all through best in class people practices for plant at Haldia.

- As an HR Business Partner, the purpose of the role is to support long term strategy around skill and talent transformation, drive the execution of HR strategies and plans and champion the policies and processes related to Learning & Development, Talent Management, Employee Engagement and drive operational efficiencies related to productivity and support business objectives.

2. Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

i. Participate in forecasting of manpower requirements based on business needs, and implement actions with Plant verticals to ensure that manpower is in line with prescribed structures.

ii. Ensure customer delight for HR practices like employee on-boarding, induction in line with job role, job rotation and transfers, attrition and exit processes.

iii. Use of HR Analytics and machine intelligence for effective decision making related to manpower planning and headcounts, employee engagement, learning & development, attrition, vendor costs, reconciliation related to manpower cost budget, expenses in employee benefits, etc.

iv. Ensuring cordial industrial relations and discipline in the organization by acting as a mediator in initiating settlement proceedings, managing enquiries and discussion with the Trade Union representatives.

v. Monitor adherence to Performance Management system process timelines; support business for annual performance management processes in line with applicable PMS plan and liaise with team leads, HODs and Corporate HR for on-time and qualitative execution of plan.

vi. Drive implementation of corporate training programs while working in coordination with Corporate L&D team & Plant verticals to determine training needs, conceptualize and execute custom training programs in line with business requirements.

vii. Track and monitor performance and productivity measures of direct and indirect employees while achieving benchmarks in discussion with internal stake holders and Union representatives.

viii. Advise team leaders and managers on critical talent management initiatives while collaborating with Corporate HR team and managers to create and offer career opportunities, reward and recognition programs that supports meritocracy.

ix. Determine and recommend employee engagement practices necessary to establish a positive and vibrant employer-employee relationship.

x. Help the Organization to build a value based culture of collaboration, innovation, empowerment and transparency by creating the right employee value proposition.

xi. Contribute to HR Digitisation initiatives, support implementation and enhancement of various Success Factors Modules for Plant employees.

4. Qualifications: The incumbent must be a regular full-time MBA or equivalent degree in Human Resource Management / Personnel Management from an institute of repute.

5. Knowledge:

i. Sound knowledge of updated HR systems and processes

ii. Experience in using HR technologies and tools for data analytics and solutions to people issues.

iii. Understanding of business flow and ability to work closely with critical Plant operational stakeholders

iv. Experience in implementing HR programs in a manufacturing plant environment

v. Exposure in ERP preferably SAP-HR and / or Success Factors

7. Skills & Behaviour:

i. The incumbent must be a good communicator, possess good negotiation and problem-solving skills.

ii. Capable of identifying key issues and priorities and focusing on these to deliver required results with minimal direction and supervision

iii. Good at Relationship building, especially with external and internal people, at senior level.

iv. Empathetic towards employee issues and good at grievance redressal

v. Collaborative attitude and willingness to accept challenging assignments
