Position Summary :

Reporting to the Head of HR, Asia based in HK, the successful candidate will provide professional and pro-active HR advice to employees and Managers in India, including all elements of the employment cycle.

Key Responsibilities :

- To pro-actively build positive, trusting relationships with the management teams to ensure advice is respected and acted upon.

- To act as a partner to stakeholders and proactively advise and support managers on all issues relating to employee relations, rewards, learning and development, resourcing and performance management.

- Work with the Talent Acquisition team on recruitment and selection process for relevant practices to deliver a quality process, including preparation of documentation and ensure we attract and hire quality talents.

- Coordinate with the global mobility team and the relocation services vendor to provide relocation assistance where required, including visa immigration service, pre-assignment orientation, temporary accommodation, home and school search, taxation, international medical coverage, shipment, tenancy management.

- Work with the C&B manager to benchmark compensation in India

- Maintain PeopleSoft (HR management system) and provide timely communication to payroll as required.

- Advise on India employee relation issues (in conjunction with rest of the HR team) to coordinate the company's involvement and communication processes ensuring a cooperative climate.

- Work with the rest of the HR team to formulate and implement new HR policies, procedures and practices as necessary to comply with current and changing employment legislation and to continuously improve the people management practices within the business.

- Guide managers on the use of all policies and procedures across Asia.

- Work with the management teams of relevant practices to identify individual development needs within their team and formulate development plans.

- With support, coach managers on HR issues and challenges as required.

- Provide support on training and development programs and activities to uplift human capital performance within the company.

- Work with HR colleagues to understand requirements for the provision of analysis and reporting in relation to key HR metrics.

- Collate, analyse and produce critical management information on a regular and an ad hoc basis including monthly HR reports.

- Connect internally and externally, as directed, to provide research in support of HR projects.

- Provide support on selected HR processes and projects and work collaboratively with other team members.

- Keep up to date with current and new employment laws and labour legislations to ensure legal compliance of company rules and regulations.

- Drive the probation review process for the region.

- Participate and/or drive relevant Human Capital projects as they arise.

- Ad hoc duties as required.

Key Requirements :

- Min 8 years- relevant experience in MNCs, preferably in a professional services industry.
- Specialist recruitment/headhunting experience preferable with at least 3 years- experience as a HR business partner.
- Experience working in a matrixed organisation in a standalone role in India advantageous.

- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills; ability to be hands-on and operational while be able to handle strategic projects.

- Exceptional organisational and time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.

- Ability to deliver results in a high-pressured environment.

- Able to forge strong relationships both internally and externally at all levels.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Strong interpersonal skills.

- A team player with positive 'can do' attitude and resilient in a changing environment.

- Strong attention to detail.

- Knowledge of India labour regulations.

- Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc) and HR data base, ideally PeopleSoft.
