About Global Analytics, HP Corporate Strategy & Alliances

Global Analytics is a 1500+ member group that enables HP to win at the marketplace with the power of Analytics. We, as part of HP Corporate Strategy & Alliances organization, work closely with various businesses and regions of HP across multiple domains, e.g., Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Customer Service, etc. We provide data-driven insights through advanced analytics & modeling, business research and performance analysis & reporting.

Within the Supply Chain Analytics team, we are focused on providing tangible business impact to the supply chain & customer service processes across HP businesses either in terms of cost savings, cash flow improvement or revenue enablement through better business insights, better planning and analytics.

Functional Role:

- Manage the Demand Planning process for EMEA, Countries and specific accounts for HP PPS Personal Systems CEP including all supporting activities like ascertaining the demand pattern, forecasting, aligning with Sales Accounts team, Category team, SC and accounts. Maximize availability and responsiveness through improved plan accuracy while minimizing excess and obsolescence; minimize customer escalations and improve customer satisfaction.

Activities

- Building and maintaining a detail plan by part number for every direct customer

- Periodic review & monitor the plan and take corrective action

- Plan challenge - this would entail talking to large direct customers and field sales in EMEA to ascertain their
demand

- Analysis of the pipeline of potential deals, committed deals and quotes and projecting the demand numbers

- Anticipate and manage risk to demand plan

- Measure plan performance & accuracy

- Build / maintain tools and solutions supporting the demand planning process Organization Role:

- Contribute/Drive analytical and business best practices within the subject/domain, within and beyond the core role as and when required

- Engage with stakeholders beyond the role to drive business value with the power of analytics

Skills required:

- At least 5-6 years of relevant experience

- Operations Planning experience (minimum of 2 to 3 years)

- Thorough understanding of supply chain management concepts and the product life cycle

- Strong analytical skills i.e. statistical forecasting, modeling & scenario planning

- Prior experience with supply chain optimization and operational tools/applications is helpful i.e. SAP APO, I2, Optiant etc.

- Experience in building / using MS excel and access tools is helpful

- Excellent spoken & written communication skills

- Self starter and ability to tread unchartered territory

- Work well with others/team player

- Ability to influence others

- Ability to work on multiple tasks/projects and prioritize

- Detail-oriented, but don't lose sight of the big picture

Qualifications:

- Engineering degree with post graduate MBA/MS/MTECH

- At least 5-6 years of industry experience focusing on Demand and Supply planning
