Presales Specialist

This position will support HP’s global Systems Integrator (SI) partners reporting to HP’s Enterprise Group global alliances organization. We want to create strategic value-add for our partners and enable them to adopt HP technologies in their go to market solutions.
Description

In this job role, the candidate engage with the assigned global SI partner(s) to

a) Develop and implement the technical enablement and certification plan on HP’s Industry Standard Servers (ISS) – HP ProLiant, Business Critical Servers – HP Integrity, and Cloud offerings

b) Support complex solution deals involving HP’s server and cloud offerings

c) Understand the server and/or cloud solutions and services offered by the SI partner(s) and map them with the appropriate HP server and/or cloud offerings portfolio

d) Architect solutions to position HP server and/or cloud portfolio with the partner(s) as part of the joint solution development exercise

e) Position competitive technical advantages of HP servers and cloud offerings.

f) As a generalist, have reasonable competency on the storage and/or networking portfolios of HP.

The candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining key technical leads from the partner organization .The candidate will also be the primary local point of interaction for the partner(s) in global deal pursuits which involve HP server and cloud solutions and coordinate with HP teams in different countries on technical solution development and presentation.

The candidate should be able to:

- Provide presales technical support to partners on global deal pursuits help shape deals by cross-selling and/or up-selling on HP server and cloud technology.

- Communicate and articulate the details of the technical architecture for a proposed customer solution.

- Be well-versed in competitive technologies and be able to articulate the HP value proposition of HP Server and cloud offerings to the partner(s).

- Go deep in HP server and cloud portfolio to help shape joint go-to-market opportunities and drive execution of key initiatives or program per partner that has identifiable revenue.

- Collaborate with the HP worldwide and regional teams to conduct knowledge transfer and enablement events for the partners and drive partner attendance to these events.

- Encourage partner resources to become HP Certified Professionals.

- Understands the roles and effectively engages other teams and resources within HP and partner(s).

Education and Experience Required:

- BE/ B. Tech

- At least 9-15 years experience in technical consultative selling and solution architecting

- Industry certifications in server and cloud offerings preferred
