Position: Business Training Manager (BTM)
About Housing:
Description of the position: The BTM would be solely responsible for training, skill upgradation and competency building for the entire sales team with a specific eye on motivation, identifying underperformers and star performers and gathering critical feedback from the sales team. All training material to be developed by the BTM and continuously upgraded based on feedback from the team and also critical information and insights gained from competitors. It would be the primary function of the BTM to ensure a fully competent and highly motivated sales team equipped with the latest skill-set and information enabling the city head to leverage his sales team to the fullest.
Primary Responsibilities:
New recruit training
- Responsible for conducting a comprehensive in-depth sales training for each new recruit into the sales team
Bridge training
- Responsible for conducting a bridge sales training for underperforming sales team members and ensure that they reach an acceptable level of competency
Upgradation training
- Responsible for conducting an upgradation sales training for star performing sales team members to ensure pipeline for sales managerial positions
Pitch Preparation
- Responsible for preparation of pitch for each product for both cold calls and face-to-face meetings
Sales managers' training
- Responsible for conducting a sales training for managers in the sales teams to ensure that the dynamics of a fully optimised sales unit are effectively managed
Sales Bible
- Create a Sales Bible that not only highlights the best practices of sales (tips, tricks, faqs, scenarios and how to tackle the same) customised to Housing's requirements and continuously upgrade the same to reflect changing practices and scenarios
Basic Excel Training
- Responsible for conducting basic excel training and ensuring all sales team members have functional excel knowledge
Secondary Responsibilities:
Hiring support
- Assist the City Head in identifying and recruiting the best talent available by leveraging his specialised sales training to glean insights into prospective candidates' profiles
Field visits
- Periodically accompany sales team to field to gain insights about further improvements and refinements needed
Feedback
- Gather feedback from the sales team to ensure that all genuine grievances and questions are tackled effectively and immediately
Competitor info
- Responsible for gathering information and key insights into competitors' actions and imbibe the best from therein into Housing
Motivation
- Responsible for keeping the sales team highly motivated and aligned to the expectations of Housing
Growth
- Responsible for tracking the skill set of each member of the sales force and ensuring constant growth of the same
Identify Underperformers
- Responsible for identifying underperformers (through tracking performance metrics of each team member) and escalating to city head for termination of the same
Identify Star Performers
- Responsible for identifying Star performers (through tracking performance metrics of each team member) and escalating to city head for recognition/award
Experience - Minimum 2 years in Business Development and 1 year in Training (preferably in same industry- real estate)
Reporting to - RBMs, National Sales Head
