Purpose of position (Overall contribution to corporate goals) : The role of an Area Sales Manager is to contribute to the profitable attainment of sales objectives in the region. You will be responsible for the leadership, motivation and direction of one of our sales team. You will help your team drive year on year growth, seek out new business opportunities, and run marketing initiatives. You be responsible for the development of your team, leading initiatives to increase employee engagement and retention whilst maintain a high performing team culture. Core Accountability : Sales Management : - Drive sales growth across area (business units &amp; customers) - Identify trends and understand market needs - Expand customer base People Management : - Achieve targets through a team of 8 - 12 Sales staff - Build sustainable talent pipeline in line with workforce planning - Foster high potential talent development Drive Market Operation : - Cross functional collaboration with Product Mangers, Trade Managers &amp; Supply Chain Managers to steer area results - Collaborate with the finance team for exceptional approvals Training &amp; Coaching : - Train sales team on products, trades, processes &amp; customer management - Build high performing sales team through field coaching
