- Tax compliance including filing of tax returns and other compliance i.e. accountants report, tax audit, transfer pricing, TDS, and any other statutory tax filings or reporting with significant support from outside tax advisors. - Accurate and timely submission of tax payments. - Comply with various policies and procedures - Oversee income tax audits including responding timely to notices and litigation in conjunction with tax advisors - Identify, analyze, and apply changes in law - Compliance with SOX processes - Planning to implement income tax saving ideas - Partner with IS and other groups to improve and enhance current tax systems, procedures and control - Prepare/review with quarterly tax provision including FIN 48. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Strong leadership skills and foster a good work team environment - Supervise and monitor the work performed by team. ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS - Interacts with all levels throughout organization including auditors (internal, external &amp; tax) - Reports directly to Corporate Tax Department with a dotted reporting line to the local controller MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: - University graduate and should be a Chartered Accountant - 8 - 10 years of experience with domestic and international tax and accounting background and/or similar experience in at multi-national companies. - Good communication skills and proficiency in English speaking and writing - Strong knowledge and expertise of the Indian corporate tax system including income tax, indirect taxes, transfer pricing etc. - Experience managing tax audits, tax assessments, and tax litigations. - Effectively manage the tax audits and submission of annual income tax returns - Ability to interact effectively at all levels within the organization as well as with external consultants. - Should have some exposure to SOX compliance requirements Oracle 11i and Tax Stream
