They can easily understand from their peer group about how the different challenges related to parenting are being tackled. We are currently working with 300+ schools and have app downloads of 70k+ parents.

- We are a government recognized startup and part of Startup India programme. We are a well funded profitable startup. The founders are from DCE-IIM A with a combined experience of 20+ years in building internet businesses at Paytm and MakeMyTrip. Hello Parent has customers across 13 cities of India. We look to reach 700+ schools and 20+ cities in the current year. The product concept has a global reach and we shall go international in the current year.

THE OPPORTUNITY :

- To work and build a highly scalable distributed architecture for education industry and parenting community where lakhs of parents can interact among each other at the same time.

- This position would work very closely with product and business teams to understand product requirements - participate in product planning and then align technology team to deliver the product. One of the biggest responsibilities of this position would be building technology team through timely hiring / growing existing people and ensuring team is operating efficiently and is being productive.

- This position would be responsible for building strong tech culture where people are motivated to achieve business goals by leveraging technology.

- This position would be responsible for taking long-term decisions related to technology / languages / databases and infrastructure by taking into account current product + business understanding and evaluating long-term maintenance and running costs as product scales.

- Given spread of the products and inter-product dependencies, this position would involve setting-up and reiterating processes to align all stakeholders from technology / QA / infra teams for timely delivery.

- Along with technology, this position should also have strong business understanding to make right judgement calls related to product prioritisation / tradeoffs in technology as and when needed. Besides tech team, this position would be responsible for sharing technology vision to their stakeholders of the company including our investors.

PROFILE:

1. Strong tech background - someone who has architected applications in past and has seen chaos of scaling-up applications + has exposure in following -

a. Micro-services architecture

b. Hands on exposure in following technologies in past - Java / Mongo / SQL/.Net

c. Distributed systems

Good to have :

a. Exposure on building analytics products / data pipelining

b. Exposure in - Angular / React JS

2. Managed infrastructure in past - handled cloud / self-managed infra in past for distributed applications and have owned costs / uptime in previous roles. Should have also built infra for continuous deployment.

3. Strong focus on quality releases - Built QA processes and implemented automation frameworks for stability of system.

4. Team management - someone who has managed teams.

a. Built strong engineering teams and culture which is demonstrated in less attrition

b. Worked directly with relatively junior people

5. Be entrepreneurial in nature, work as an effective leader with the Founder and CEO.

6. Ready to be involved in coding major modules.
