Role brief:

Reporting to the CMO, this leadership team role has accountability for driving the marketing and growth agenda for our Hair/Skin portfolio Pan India, including P&L, NPD, communication development, team leadership and operational delivery. Providing leadership of the marketing function, you will be a key player to accelerate brand performance, managing P&L, deliver I+R and communication projects to deliver brand growth. This role demands innovative thinking along with a creative and energetic approach to leadership who thrives when juggling multiple priorities in a fast paced, high performing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Business & Brand:

1) Deliver on the P&L ambition for the business portfolio including revenue & gross margins.

2) Develop and execute strong consumer communication plans and strategies based on target consumers and consumer insights.

3) Provide strategic marketing direction around brand and positioning to increase brand awareness, loyalty, net promoter score (NPS) & profitability

4) Develop and execute monthly, quarterly & annual marketing plans for the Hair/Skin business.

5) Define & implement go-to-market strategies across channels and drive long term business growth. Set and track the profitability targets and deliver those in conjunction with the commercial teams.

6) Plan, allocate and monitor marketing budgets (ATL, BTL & Digital)

Innovation, Consumer Understanding & Insights

1) Understand shoppers' behaviours and motivations and contribute and participate in designing shopping experiences that delight shoppers.

2) Develop and successfully execute the innovation & renovation pipeline of the portfolios ensuring competitive intensity.

3) Develop the brand portfolio strategy and contribute to the pricing and promotional strategies.

4) Leverage data and analytics from various sources (internal) and other primary and secondary research insights to unearth trends and market opportunities to finetune current offerings and introduce innovations

5) Oversee all elements of designing, strategizing, positioning etc. and other associated marketing collateral related to it.

6) Liaise with Projects, R&D, SCM, & Packaging team for various outputs required for business at the time of the NPD trials, planning, agreement, stabilization, material scheduling, and finalization of process for different products.

7) Ensure that NPD projects are delivered and launched within timeline.

Leadership & Team Development:

1) Carry out capability assessment, identify gaps, develop a plan for building organizational capability in the team and implement strong people processes.

2) Provide coaching and mentoring to direct reports and the wider team in order to enable, empower and enhance high performance and development.

3) Build, lead and nurture the most dynamic marketing team in the industry through people first approach, providing strong opportunities for growth and development and encouraging them for delivering breakthrough innovations & marketing.

Profile of Candidate :

1) 8-10 years of a successful track record in Brand Management in FMCG

2) Strong business acumen

3) Strong communication skills

4) Experience in Hair/Skin industry is a plus

5) Strong strategic and analytical thinking skills with the ability to see the big picture and the long and short term implications of actions.

6) A critical thinker with strong problem solving skills.

7) Self-starter and driven. Always raising the bar. Resilient with a can do attitude and the drive to deliver ambitious results.

8) Demonstrated ability to build and lead high performing marketing teams.

Comfortable with complexity and ambiguity.
