JOB DESCRIPTION:

Location: Gurgaon

Designation: Engineering Manager

Looking for a Director Engineering / AVP - Engineering, responsible for ensuring products meet design requirements. You- ll manage team of engineers and developers, collaborate with product managers, as well as give shape to company's product vision.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Build, mentor and lead team of engineers responsible for delivering products and initiatives.

2. Manage the core backend platform, mid office applications, and the customer facing front end. Well versed with agile development

3. Understand and collaborate on product lifecycle from concept to execution.

4. Set up best practices for development and champion their adoption. Follow SOPs and lead sprints to ensure regular deliveries.

5. Problem Solving: ability to think and analyse both breadth-wise (client, server, DB, control flow) and depth-wise (threads, sessions, space-time complexity) while designing and implementing services

6. Experience with API Design, ability to architect and implement an intuitive customer and third-party integration story

Ideal candidate:

1. Very high technical competence with 10+ years of track record in individual & team's technical accomplishments.

2. Experience with web technologies and micro services architecture, PHP, Linux, Apache/Nginx MySQL, me cache, redis, JavaScript, Ajax etc.

3. Experience in toggling between customer centric platform, mid office and backend platforms.

4. Worked in environment that follows cycles of scrum / sprints, yet be able to perform with fuzzy channels of communication (sales, mkt, etc.), considering that ours is a swiftly evolving workplace.

5. Great people skills to be able to work with smart cross functional teams. Experience in managing team of 30 - 35 people currently.

6. Involved in developing teams from scratch, and developing the next level for the company.
