Head - Workplace Safety - Chemicals/Fertilizers/Pharma

Position Purpose

Head Site Workplace Safety will be responsible for safety culture building, guide the sites on global standards of safety, risk and emergency management, and ensure training of employees on all safety aspects and PPE management. He/She will be responsible for ensuring smooth and sustainable business conduct by preventing any safety related potential risks and issues.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic

Develop the Sustainability strategy, catalyze and facilitate implementation of the Sustainability framework, drive knowledge management and employee awareness building and monitor external & internal communication & reporting IN ORDER TO ensure sustainable conduct of business while keeping in mind the social, economic and safety health environment fire hygiene impacts.

Operational & Financial :

- Guide the site EHS lead and implementation teams regarding implementation of standards :

- Chemical safety, PPE, electrical, Machinery safety, LOTO, Training, PTW, JSA, HAZOP verification, PSSR, Round the clock surveillance,

- Fire & Emergency, Occupational Health

- Provide a framework to identify all possible risks and foreseeable emergencies, develop control and preventive measures, review implementation of risk mitigation guidelines, develop, communicate and simulate emergency response plans IN ORDER TO mitigate potential business risks from SHE perspective and prevent and address emergencies effectively.

List down the activities of each site :

- Conduct safety health environment fire hygiene risk assessment

- List the high, medium and low risk safety health environment fire hygiene activities.

- Develop the controls to mitigate the safety health environment fire hygiene risks

- Develop a monitoring system to ensure that safety health environment fire hygiene controls are in place and in use 24 hrs and 365 days
