Head/VP - Sourcing & Trading - Chemical Manufacturing Firm

Note: Candidates must be from Chemical manufacturing background.

1. Leading the sourcing function (Import & Export) for the acquisition/distribution of chemical raw materials from national & international suppliers and creating roadmap for the sourcing strategy.

2. Identification of suitable suppliers, key supplier management, due diligence / approval of suppliers and raw materials, negotiations, contracting, logistics and payment for the chemical material.

3. Analyse supply and demand balance and trends to ensure efficient supply of chemical raw materials

4. Compiling bid packages and issuing Request for Quotation (RFQ); receiving bids and preparing commercial bid summary to arrive at a purchasing strategy (SPOT / Contractual pricing)

5. Application of negotiation levers - Managing Annual Rate contracts, Annual Maintenance Contracts, Supply contracts, risk and sustainability assessment, alternate source developments to meet the budget / target prices to bring in cost efficiencies.

6. To maintain appropriate inventories (Min-Max levels) of raw materials for plants as well as a trading business

7. Accountable to manage warehouse & logistic activities at optimum cost.

8. Accountable to handle commodity bulk chemicals in liquidity and dry forms.

9. Accountable to manage the import process & aligned legal proceedings.
