Job Requirements:
Role Description:
- To provide leadership for all inbound & outbound operation in the Plant state for effective merchandise delivery by implementing the warehouse strategies and plans with Plant as per SOP, standards and guidelines
Financial:
- Manage the operations in an effective way so as to optimize costs
- Manage P & L of Palnt
Operational:
- Prepare the resource plans in terms of manpower, equipment, finances etc Location wise
- Prepare the annual cost budgets per location and allocate funds to ensure effective D&L operations; Also monitor the budgets and variances
- Strong controll and management on entire Inventory supported by database for In bound or out bound articles.
- Ensure the management of Warehouses/ Other logistic/Transportation centers and the other units as per the plans to ensure the effective receipts, storage, processing and shipping of merchandise or articles.
- Ensure the effective management of the transportation operations in the state by appropriate planning, optimization of the transportation costs to move merchandise from Client to Warehouse & warehouse to designated Location
- Coordination with Plant Head for overall roll out plan for Customer and associate partner for smooth execution.
Alignment to the Business Goals :
- Develop the people plans, select and acquire the right people with the help from Plant Head & HR required for managing the operations in the Plant and ensure the smooth operations
- Manage the Health, Safety, Environment and Fire process effectively to ensure the health, safety and security of people involved in the operations and ensure all during Inbound & Outbound Operation.
- Supervision of dashboard and reports, DO generation and LR copy, dispatch of Inventory, Stock adjustment in alignment, Inventory Ageing analysis,Inventory turnover analysis, Creation of Customer Master, Vendor Master, Product Master
- Ensure the shrinkage control by effectively implementing the Loss Prevention strategies in the state
- Ensure all the IT roll out is as per the plan and IT support is available for smooth operations in the Plant.
- Ensure the Quality culture and service exellance in the operations by implementing the quality assurance processes and strict adherence to the quality processes and norms set for the operations
- Ensure all statutory and regulatory compliances in the as per factory act or the state norms required for In/out Operation.
- Continuously strive for business excellence by developing plans and implementing the same for continuous improvements for the better productivity in the operation.
- Ensuring coordination with Plant head for transition of clients inventory alignment on SLAs-
- Single point of contact for Plant to handle all the dispatches/shipments of the client, end-to-end, ensuring high standards of service delivery
- Ability to analyze supply chain needs of clients and improvise operational strategies and provide recommendations
- Communicate results to key stakeholders in order to support informed business decisions by providing in-depth analysis and recommendations
- Liaisioning with all internal teams (External Supplier, Internal raw material dept,concerned based in plant coordination Sales & Marketing, Logistics, Warehousing, Operations, Finance) to meet client requirements/ queries and ensuring that the problems are resolved swiftly.
- Continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships and manage client expectations effectively
- Continually develop new initiatives of optimising the revenue for company by providing new ideas, planning and excution roll out.
- Maintaining strict adherence to the internal Standard Operating Procedure during Inbound and outbound for client handling and management
- Creating service level agreements for each client to smoothen internal service delivery
- Understanding client requirements for Value Added Services in during shipment out bound and co-ordinating with the internal teams for better service.
- Improvement in performance of Internal & external client facing teams with proper process analysis and control of operations process in line with standards and guidelines laid by management.
- Ensuring accurate invoicing and coordination with accounts receivables to collect payments within the credit period
- Ensuring generation of day to day,weekly or monthly basis MIS and timely updates the client pertaining to its shipments.
People Development:
- Ensure that the people are trained based on the training needs. Coach, mentor and develop people by imparting the relevant knowledge and skills continuously
- Lead, engage and motivate the team better retention and productivity

- Servicing all client queries/ requests/ issues and acting as a single point of contact on behalf of Company

Experience Range: 18-22 Years in Plant/Facility WH Ops/SCM Operation or similar operation like Handling Logistic terminal, Transportation.
Qualifications: B. Tech (Mechanical/Electrical) or Degree in Engineering & PGDM in SCM or related Discipline
Nature of experience (Sector / position / role) Logistics, supply chain, client services, Plant operation, Defense Services (any discipline with knowledge in supply chain) and Bulk Cargo handling (steel/automobile) Industry.
