Head/VP - Engineering - Big Data & Analytics SaaS Firm

The Client :

- Our Client is a dynamically growing Big Data & Analytics SaaS company, recently featured in the CIO Review Magazine as 10 most promising Big Data companies..

The Role :

- Head/VP of Engineering - is about culture, about technical direction and about understanding how the product will meet the needs of the customer

Role Purpose :

- Oversee current technology and creates/support to create relevant technology vision.

- Align technology-related decisions with the organization's goals (ie) assure the successful execution of the company's business mission through development and deployment of the company's product / platform. This role will OWN the assigned products/platforms and drive the evolution of the same and align with implementation teams.

- Providing scalable support systems and prepare the teams, products, infrastructure to scale for the next 3-5 years as per directions from CEO, COO.

The Person :

- Ideal candidate is BE / B. Tech / M.Tech / MCA / MS. from reputed institutions.. PhD is a plus.

- About 12 to 18 years leadership experience in technology space with a passion for technology. Experience working in a 'Analytics' Product company / stream.

- Strong understanding of current and emerging technologies, specifically big data aggregation, predictive algorithms, decision management systems, ad server technologies and architectures

- Comfort with a fast-paced, rapidly changing, highly ambitious start-up environment.. Ability to build, lead, inspire, and mentor multiple teams of talented developers

- 12+ years of experience of software development for innovative technology companies and about 7+ years of experience successfully building, managing, motivating and mentoring world class engineering teams

- Extensive cross-functional leadership experience over Engineering, QA, IT, and Operations organizations
