Head/Vice President - Supply Chain

Please note: Candidates who have experience of managing an entire end to end supply chain in the Perishables and Food industry would be an ideal fit.

- Our client is a listed entity and a leader in the non-glucose biscuits and premium breads segment in India.

- As Head of Supply Chain, you will play a pivotal role driving strategic and operational supply chain excellence, driving cost savings, efficiencies, and innovation to support growth ambitions of the business

Reporting to the CEO, your primary responsibilities will be:

- Working as part of the Leadership Team, the role has overall responsibility for all supply chain activity (sans procurement) across the business and geography of India for 3 divisions (Bakery, Biscuits, Exports)

- Network planning and Logistics, including first-mile operational efficiency and last-mile delivery speed and reliability.

- Building necessary business infrastructures that make sure supply chain operations run smoothly along with developing and implementing a strategy to ensure that critical processes run effectively and achieve organizational goals and performance KPIs.

- Owning Supply Chain aspects of the collaboration with distributors and retailers in the affiliate, implement and then own collaboration reviews to ensure best practices in service & inventory management are followed.

- Utilizing data monitoring and analytics to evaluate past performance, trends and use them for improving forecasts & maintaining ideal inventory levels and meeting distribution requirements.

- Owning Demand Planning and Supply Planning including end to end execution planning while working with commercial & retail, regional operations, and leadership team.

- Taking complete ownership of end-to-end logistics including last mile delivery and warehousing management

- Building relationships based on trust and respect and promoting the inclusion of diverse knowledge, skills, and experiences to achieve results.

Requirements:

- A high standard of supply chain competence in key areas of sourcing, process knowledge, contracting skills, supplier management, material planning, logistics and warehousing.

- Experience of leading and managing large multi-functional supply chain teams in a matrix organisation.

- Supply chain strategy formulation and transformation.

- Ability to develop and lead a high performing team, enabling a positive working culture that embraces diversity of thought.

- Resilient with the ability to cope in a high pressured, high paced environment.

- Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills that builds and supports collaborative stakeholder relationships.

- 15+ years of experience in handling end to end supply chain including demand planning, supply planning, distribution and fulfilment centre management, logistics in perishable and food industry.
