Head - Vendor Development - Investment Casting Industry

The organization:

The business is in Investment casting industry in India. Over the years, the company has grown to four casting and machining locations located in the western and southern regions of India. It has built a formidable reputation as a quality supplier of complex and high end, fully furnished investment casting components serving industries from aerospace to simple engineering products in the industry.

Purpose of the Role:

The purpose of this role will focus on developing the right vendors to outsource any manufacturing activity, technical development of existing vendor's machining capabilities and consolidating number of vendors. This role will work closely with Corp. Engg. Research and Development, Quality department and Manufacturing department.

This role will require to have in depth machining and tool development knowledge, technical feasibility study of drawing, exposure to basic techno-commercial activity of vendor finalization.

The incumbent needs to have good leadership qualities, manage Cross Functional requirements, and high on integrity.

Skills:

- He should have hands on experience of AutoCad, Catia, should be comfortable with Excel/Word/PowerPoint.

- Has knowledge of IATF:16949 and other relevant QMS.

Others:

- Should have knowledge of good vendors of machining/ press in and around Pune/Mumbai/Nashik/Aurangabad.

- Should have good connect with Tooling manufacturers (Kennametal/Tungloy/Sandvik etc)
