Tech (Preferred) Location : Pune Key Responsibilities : - Design and development of Commercial Vehicles, from Concept to engineering layouts, computations, and detailing. - Interaction with key system suppliers and vendors; areas to be covered are vehicle engineering, Design and Development of Vehicle aggregate like suspension, steering, and brakes, axles, transmission, cabin, and cabin tilt. - Overall vehicle engineering with capabilities for dimensional GD and T and value analysis, operating in a virtual environment with software like Prio, UGNX Catia, etc. - Plan, direct, and control the activities for design, development. - Ensures design and release to production within the allocated time, cost, and quality objectives of the program. - Conducts Continuous Improvement Reviews, merit increase planning, and assists employees with career development planning and training. - Oversees engineering deliverables pursuant to the Product Delivery Process (PDP). - Lead design &amp; development in line with the overall Product Roadmap for the organization. - Develop Driveline Strategy (Transmission / Axles / Clutch and Brake systems) for New Vehicle Programs in alignment with, the voice of customer/ customer requirement, regulations, cost, quality (durability/reliability), time, emerging trends in technology. - Identify opportunities for standardization of design and parts across programs - Institutionalize best design practices to increase the robustness of the scenario-planning process and risk mitigation measures. Skills &amp; Experience Required : - Minimum 15+ Years of automotive designing experience. - End to End hands-on Designing &amp; Development of Aggregates. - Head Vehicle engineering with a special focus on the development of CVs - Power train engineering design and application on CVs with specific knowledge on AMTs, and management of emissions (EUROVI), understanding of vehicle drive train. - Expert in advanced CAD and CAE. - Program management skills. - Team Building &amp; Management.
