Objective of the Role :

- Lead the delivery of the Product user experience vision and strategy of the company for all products, focusing on intuitive, flexible, simple and easy to use experiential interactions.

- Be the driver of a face of high quality design practices. This includes participation in all aspects of UX: research, ideation, strategy, interaction design, and visual design

- Establish and evangelize design patterns, guidelines, best practices, and standards for the design organization

Key Areas of Responsibility :

- Define the UX vision and own the evolution of user experience, architecture, and interaction in order to create a usable, functionally rich, attractive and ultimately better performing product.

- Drive disruptive innovation to define new experiences for product in terms of multi-devices, multi- operating systems and input methods which are becoming pervasive

- Deliver UX of the product with adequate understanding of domain, context, users, technology reach and company focus.

- Training own team on tools and methodologies and building cross-team interactions to validate and build in a cohesive environment

- Research and analyze technology trends, be on top of current and future technology direction and drive the company UX direction to map with the same

- Ensure the development of designs which support internationalization and localization need of the product interface

- Participate in and lead on-going projects to their logical conclusion

- Conduct primary and secondary research to identify user requirements, create personas

- Conduct usability testing of output and be able to make a clean statement of why will a design work or not

- Foster consensus across teams while driving the overall UX vision.

- Promoting an atmosphere of creative experimentation, collaboration, and informed risk taking; building a sense of community.

- Drive the User Experience Design function to deliver in alignment with the objectives of the organization. Identify and close gaps in existing processes, methodologies and tools for sustained and quality delivery

- Own the delivery of documents on user personas, user interface specifications, designs, user scenarios, analyses standards and guides.

Educational Qualification/Licenses/Certifications :

- Design degree from noted educational institute or a Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience

- Relevant Certifications on human-computer interaction, visual design, product design, interaction design, or technical communication is added advantage

Knowledge :

- Excellent knowledge of wire framing and design tools like Illustrator/ Axure etc., image editing and enhancement tools like Adobe Photoshop, BAU tools including MS Office and Visio.

- Knowledge of visual enhancement tools (for colour, font etc.) and usability testing tools is an added advantage

- Technological understanding of different platforms, operating systems, devices and form factors and their impact on UI

Desired Skills and Experience :

Mandatory Experience :

- Had significant and credible success related to heading information design and strategy

- Should have proven skill set through hands-on delivery of original User Experience Designs for an application, product or websites

- Should have proven ability to develop creative solutions for a wide range of clients in the products/ digital space that deliver results

- Proven expertise at motivating and managing experience leads in developing, communicating, and selling industry-leading concepts.

- Tangible, well-grounded sense of design with respect to creating simple, elegant, esthetically pleasing interfaces based on user-centered design principles

- Demonstrated expertise in consumer or B2B eCommerce, software application interfaces, and/or interactive marketing - must include creating transaction-oriented interfaces

- Demonstrated experience leading and for observing user research and usability testing and in translating results into design decisions

Essential Skills :

- Experience of designing across OS and devices, with knowledge of constraints applied by each

- Excellent written and communication skills

- Effective and creative brainstorming, ideation, and other problem-solving skills

- Strong knowledge of user experience design principles, techniques and proven creativity skills

Good To Have Skills :

- Critical thinking and problem solving skills

- Ability to quickly grasp domain knowledge of diverse fields

Attributes :

- Results-oriented with ability to bridge the gap between business and technical stakeholders to effectively and efficiently help define, execute and deliver on a product roadmap

- Ability to think strategically and to translate ideas into actions

- Ability to assess market analysis and create effective plans accordingly

- Acts as a change agent; actively generates process improvements
