Head - Underwriting - Life Insurance

- Manage the entire Underwriting department. Ensure process improvisation and digitisation of the same. Create underwriting guidelines and Manual. Design underwriting processes largely on the digital product lines. Responsible for monitoring production, hit ratios, the spread of risk, and other production and quality measures. Handling of various MIS / IRDA reporting.

- 10+ yrs of experience in underwriting with Life Insurance company.

- Exposure to digital platforms and processes

- To direct, plan and manage entire Underwriting by defining, developing and implementing a balanced technical & operational strategy for the function, that is aligned with the sales goals and the pricing assumption of the mortality expectation in order to facilitate the organization in meeting its business objectives. The role holder also strives to develop & implement best in class processes & systems and provide a seamless underwriting & mortality experience for the organization.

- Process automation - Workflow Enhancement, BPM in UW, TRL Integration

- Performance parameters - Competitive Underwriting guideline, TAT, Quality of UW, Lower Leakage due to uw reject, Lower Early claims.

- Cross Functional Projects

- Reinsurance negotiation for retail cases, Guideline.

- Fraud Management - Integration of IIB fraud repository checks integration, Process controls for fraud checks.

- Industry participation on various Closed User Group to influence and drive industry agenda related to managing fraud, upcoming regulation.
