Head - Underwriting - Health Insurance

Responsibilities:

- Underwriting both treaty and facultative health reinsurance proposals

- Be responsible for pricing, internal escalation, drafting of reinsurance contracts

- Be a main point of contact for the Health Portfolio

- Develop the process of Product Pricing by providing guidance on product structures, technical note, communication of risk drivers within the framework of company and risk appetite and overall product and business strategy

- Develop Retrocession Program in collaboration with home office

- Collaborate with home office Risk Management department in developing metrices for branch risk management

- Responsible for the Actuarial Regulatory Reporting for the reinsurance branch and mandated

- IRDAI submission on monthly, quarterly and yearly basis

Requirements:

- Minimum 8 years of experience in health underwriting of Indian insurance/reinsurance market is desirable in the related area

- Completion of at least 10 to 13 Core Principle level actuarial exams will be preferred.

- A degree in Statistics/Mathematics/Actuarial/Computer Science/Engineering

- Detailed knowledge of actuarial pricing techniques

- Detail orientation, communication and interpersonal skills

- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel

- Health actuarial experience with a pricing background

- Good programming language skills on Python or R preferred
