The Underwriting Head will be responsible for all the underwriting model frameworks and supervise the credit risk function for all the products. The eventual goal is to ensure that the co. has contextual risk models for different user groups so that we can reach out to the maximum possible target audience while maintaining the lowest feasible default rate. The individual will need to have commercial acumen and a test and learn mindset in a rapidly evolving environment. Job Description - Managing the credit risk function of the company and building a Credit decisioning team relating for all categories of lending. - Lead initiatives for development of methodologies for measurement of Credit Portfolio Management and associated models/processes - Develop and enhance the Credit Reporting & Monitoring framework basis on extensive company data which meets the requirements of various external &amp; internal stakeholders - Identify how external data can be combined with company data to enhance the underwriting risk strategy for the clients - Build systems to convey credit decisions in a clear and concise manner to sales teams - Build an equivalent client side view to understand the NTC score and evaluated category - Build relationships with the key lending partners and recommend possible lending products for the company Reporting The Capital Underwriting Head will be reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and will be at a skip-level distance with the Founders Experience Required - Overall 8+ years in building credit policies and underwriting - Experience working with SME/corporate loans. - Experience working with the digital lending companies would be an added advantage. - Built credit models for alternative lending and evaluating thin file customers.
