Head - Treasury - Real Estate

A leading real estate company is looking for a Corporate Treasurer.

The corporate treasurer's key task is to ensure that the company meets its immediate and longer term financial objectives. As a key member of the company's management team the treasurer will ensure that the company's financial needs are being met optimally and related risks are being properly managed.

KEY TASKS :

Managing the company's overall financial health :

- Lead financial planning and budgeting processes

- Ensuring that the company maintains a healthy liquidity position and overseeing cash flow projections

- Ensuring that funding sources remain accessible (eg banking lines)

- Managing relationships with bankers

- Managing working capital - monitoring and optimising the receivables/payables cycle

- Ensuring that suitable cash management strategies are in place

- Monitoring the performance of the company's projects and keeping the relevant management committees updated

Managing fund raising for projects (Equity and Debt) :

- Evaluating proposed projects from a financial perspective

- Pitching projects to prospective investors

- Running the fund raising process

- Tapping into existing and managing investor relations

Risk management :

- Ensuring that suitable risk mitigation measures such as hedging, insurance etc are in place

Team management :

- Ensuring that quality staff are hired, trained and retained

CANDIDATE PROFILE :

- Experience in running the Treasury function at an entity of similar magnitude

- Real estate industry experience is a plus, though not a necessity

- Detailed knowledge of finance, accounts and tax domains

- High degree of comfort with Excel and relating accounting software

- 12-15 years of relevant experience across finance and treasury

- Strong communication and presentation skills

- Qualifications : CA/MBA (Finance)
