Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute trading strategies in the carbon markets, executing ERPA between the clients, with a focus on project developers in India and Southeast Asia, and buyers in Fortune 500 companies/FIs in developed markets globally.

- Engage with global stakeholders, including buyers and sellers, to foster strong relationships and identify trading opportunities.

- Manage and strengthen relationships with local corporate clients, such as Tata and JSW, as well as global carbon desks, to understand their carbon market needs and provide tailored solutions

- Collaborate with project developers to identify and evaluate potential carbon credit projects for trading purposes.

- Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and policy developments related to carbon markets in the region.

- Stay updated on market prices and conduct thorough market analysis to identify trading opportunities.

- Utilize your existing network of buyers and sellers to facilitate transactions and expand our trading portfolio.

- Provide market insights and recommendations to senior management to drive strategic decision-making.

- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards governing carbon markets.

Requirements:

- A Tier 1 institute degree, preferably an MBA, demonstrating strong academic background.

- Minimum of 7-8 years of total work experience, with at least 3-4 years of hands-on experience in carbon markets in India and Southeast Asia.

- Proven track record of successfully engaging with stakeholders in the carbon market industry.

- Extensive knowledge of carbon markets, including cap-and-trade systems and carbon tax mechanisms.

- Strong understanding of market dynamics, pricing mechanisms, and regulatory frameworks governing carbon markets.

- Excellent client-facing skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key clients and project developers.

- Professionalism, integrity, and strong business acumen.

- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.

- Analytical mindset with the ability to conduct market research and interpret data.

- Entrepreneurial, Proactive and results-oriented approach to achieving trading targets and goals.
