Trade Operations Head - Navi Mumbai

Reporting to the CEO - Agri Business, the incumbent will be responsible for executing and managing commodity trades efficiently and accurately. This role involves coordinating with traders, counterparties, logistics providers, CHS, Shipping agencies and internal departments to ensure timely execution and settlement of trades. The Trade Operations Head leads a team who handles trade documentation, manages trade confirmations, resolves discrepancies, and supports risk management activities.

1. Should have exp of Agri industry.

2. Responsible for pre - post shipment documentation.

3. Responsible for executing and overseeing the lifecycle of each trade/business confirmation including contracts Logistics, documentation, insurance.

4. Coordination between Suppliers, Buyers, finance, shipping, and port operations to ensure all matters are in order, to support timely delivery of product to the customers in accordance with the contract and maintain databases to ensure ongoing accuracy.

5. Good operational knowledge of trade operations on international trades, delivery terms and documentation requirements

6. Follow up and complete shipment documentation and coordinate with supplier, as well as provide all related shipping docs to buyers for customs purpose & cargo discharge.

7. Ensure payment matters to supplier and incoming funds from buyers, based on payment terms, LC issuance & LC negotiation if any

8. Warehouse coordination and stock reconciliation.

9. Handle all shipment related expenses, claims and client receivables / payables.

10. Responsible for Contract Management, Vendor Management and Risk Assessment.

11. Liaise with Finance & Accounts for all interlinkages between Finance & Operations.

12. Contract Management: Drafted contracts after negotiating commercial terms with customers and vendors (CHAs, Transporters and Inspection Agencies)

13. Responsible for export of Global trade by managing the entire chain of operations like drafting Sales contract as per agreed terms, opening Letter of Credit (LC), arrange for load port inspection of Cargo, checking of export documents, and obtaining payment from the buyers
