Position Title: Head of Trade Marketing (Myanmar)

Location: Myanmar (Yangoon)

Report to : Chief Executive Officer

No of Staff reporting to Job Holder: 20-30 Employees +

Internal Relations:Group Chairman, CEO,CFO,HODs, Expatriates

External Relations: Trade, channel, etc

Some Important points:

Experience of working in Myanmar will be a plus.

The individual will be expected to lead the team and organization to its next phase of growth.

Company is the one of the Largest Companies in Myanmar - it is the fourth largest Corporate tax payer in the country and is regarded in the market as a Company in the front line of systems and processes producing quality products. Its Brands are market leaders with a turnover of 200 Million USD growing a close to 20% per year ! It offers an opportunity for an energetic professional team player to make a huge difference in a sizeable organization in a rapidly changing market. There is a robust NPD pipeline under development while in the organization sizeable investments are being made in the manufacturing and systems areas in order to move the organization to the next phase

As a final point I will add that it is important to have a person who is a team player and enjoys rolling up their sleeves and wanting to learn about the nuts and bolts of the business - it is a rapidly changing environment and to show leadership in this role, it will be important to be open to learning.

Requirements:

- Strong in Trade Marketing

- Strong experience in FMCG company or Liquor / AlcoBev Company

- Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably

- At least 8-20 years of experience in relevant capacity level

- Good command of both spoken and written English

- Excellent negotiation skills in order to settle disputes and ability to remain calm under pressure

- Timeliness and decisiveness in action

- Ability to work under pressure and timeline

- Effective and objective communicator

- High level of integrity and live the Company's value

JOB Purpose and KRA:

- The Head of Trade Marketing Manager plays a key role within the country sales team, driving excellence in store (4P) execution across key customers/key accounts for all Categories present in the country category/brand portfolio. The role will also focus on building expert knowledge in our key categories and sharing this with the customer in order to build long term partnerships and increase profit and sales.

SCOPE/ DIMENSIONS OF ROLE:

Leads within the country the development and implementation of category management strategies. This will focus on increasing Cos in store presence in our categories, strengthening our brands, optimizing product assortment, and promotional strategy. The role will lead a team of Trade Marketing Managers who represent a Cos category.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Develops country/customer 4P strategy and tactics in line with respective sales and marketing directors, and building on global 4P strategy

- Defines Category trade marketing KPIs across all Cos categories in the country

- Leads the country Trade Marketing team

- Defines and manages the trade marketing budget

- Contributes to category marketing plans, with customer & category analysis and promotional strategy

- Continuous analysis of the competitive and customer's position in the country, works together with the sales director to develop long-term trade marketing actions and strategy aimed at strengthening Co's position in the each of our categories

- Leads and supports trade marketing team in developing and implementing Co promotional strategy (in line with brand priorities and media plans) across customers

- Presenting Category strategies/ vision and 4P strategy to our customers

- Key contact for the Marketing Director and Brand Marketing team with regards to all promotional and customer activity

KEY CHALLENGES :

- Competing in an increasingly competitive environment to achieve a leading position (category champion) in Co's key categories

- Translating brand marketing actions into winning customer marketing actions

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS :

- At least 7-8 years experience in sales/trade marketing/marketing roles within an FMCG environment

- Educated to minimum bachelors degree level ideally in a business related subject - from a recognised University

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES :

This Role Profile must be read in conjunction with the relevant competency profile on the Biz
