About the Organisation:

One of the largest conglomerate in FMCG Industry.

About the Role:

- To implement the promotion and field marketing activities in the region in line with the overall marketing initiatives and to co-ordinate the development of regional and local creative work consistent with brand image and values.

- To implement the promotion and field marketing activities in the region in line with the overall marketing initiatives and to co-ordinate the development of regional and local creative work consistent with brand image and values.

Job Responsibilities:

1. To develop a suitable marketing strategy and action plan for the region (West Bengal) - consistent with the share and volume objectives of the business.

2. To liaise with the brand/ marketing team in order to ensure that regional and local marketing and promotional activity is consistent with national and international brand image and values.

3. To monitor the field marketing budget for its effective utilization and undertake course-correction if required.

4. Develop and implement a suitable merchandising strategy for the market - in consultation with the Marketing Managers for the entire portfolio of products and brands.

5. To develop and manage vendors for signage, merchandising equipment etc.

6. To liaise with the regional sales teams to ensure effectiveness of consumer promotions, develop appropriate benchmarks and implement a framework for assessing the effectiveness.

7. To manage relationships with appropriate agencies and key accounts for organizing events consistent with the company- s/ brand's image in the course of conducting various consumer/ trade promotions.

8. Assist in and co-ordinate local level market research activities in co-ordination with the Manager - Marketing Services.

9. To maintain close liaison with other departments (esp. marketing) in order to ensure good communication and implementation.

10. To participate and be involved in the key decision-making for the regional management.

Interactions:

INTERNALLY:

- Direct Reports - Activation and Trade Marketing Executives in the team

- With Zonal Marketing, to ensure activation, promotion and trade schemes are effective and in line with the zonal vision.

- With respective Sales team - State Heads, RSE/ TSMs & Key Accounts team for running activations and promotions.

- With Central marketing to ensure the branding and brand associations are within the brand guidelines

- With Finance to ensure, vendor payment is within the agreed timelines.

- With Legal to ensure all agreements are executed as per PR guidelines

EXTERNALLY:

- Vendors

- Managing DSM

Desired Candidate Profile:

- An MBA (preferable from a Tier 1 institute with 5-8 years of experience in the FMCG industry)

- Good inter-personal and leadership skills: should be able to lead a team - very critical

EXPERIENCE:

- Proven track record with good leadership skills

- Analytical ability: forecast market trends, analyze market data

- Ability to liaise at all levels/ have administrative ability
