Opportunity with a Bank based in Mumbai Job Purpose Trade Finance Operations Key Accountabilities Managing Trade Finance transactions as per Internal process and strictly adhering to the External & Regulatory Guidelines. Processing and maintaining the Client services as per expectations at the desired levels and manage all the stake holders. Job Duties & responsibilities 1. Ensuring that the Trade Transactions are processed within TAT and under the permissible regulatory framework. 2. Strengthen relations with the various stakeholders and the client facing branches Interacting with the Customers, Relationship managers and internal teams to resolve all trade queries and issues promptly. 3. Own the Customer Transaction end to end 4. Open to work and perform in dynamic environment and under pressure situations, wherein individual skill combines with team's performance to determine the success of the unit. 5. Understanding & highlighting the risks in the process, and work on process improvements 6. Handling various internal & external audits independently, and keeping the unit audit-ready at all points of time. 7. Ensure that the Team and Self KPI's and KRI's are managed and maintained as per the group's expected standards. 8. Ensuring the Team is updated on the processes and policies of the bank on Trade Operations 9. Ensure Unit level SOPs are updated on record 10. Capable of managing project level deliverables and targets 11. Ensuring Strategic Cost Management initiatives adhere and Budgets are within targeted levels 12. Building a Customer focussed Team Required Experience 1. Should have strong knowledge of various Trade Products related to Documentary Letters of Credit, Standby Letters of Credit, Bank Guarantee, Bank-to-Bank Reimbursements, Fund Transfer, and Swifts 2. 12-15 years of Work Experience in handling the Trade Finance products. 3. Should have an understanding of the underlying ICC publications - UCP600, ISBP, URR, URC and various AML & Sanctions policies. 4. Should have handled Projects related to Automation and Improvement in Trade Finance / Export Import 5. Should have strong analytical & interpersonal skills 6. Ability to Manage large team 7. Handling all types of customer complaints, enquiries Queries. Interacting with beneficiary / beneficiary bank / issuing bank regarding any clarification with respect to trade transactions. 8. Excellent Client / Customer management skills, business orientation. 9. Be capable of ensuring smooth transition without impacting customer deliverables, to manage processes and metrics on a day to day basis, 10. To provide proper guidance and support to the team as required, capability to identify areas of risk and ensure proper mitigates and controls are put in place. Education / Preferred Qualifications - Graduate / Post-Graduate / MBA with relevant work experience in working in the Trade Finance Unit and handling of all the Trade Finance Products. Technical Competencies - Certification in CDCS would be an added advantage - Good Computer Skills - Overview of systems used in Trade Operations Core Competencies - Process Management - People Management - Leadership Skills - Strategizing and Problem-solving skills
