Role Purpose :

This role is to manage all technology teams . Although this role is reporting into the CEO. it has a dotted line to the . Ownership and responsibility includes development & delivery, architecture and infrastructure and tech operations. This role requires close cooperation with the Head of Product, in order to deliver the right value for customers.

Complexity :

- This role includes high impact decision making in order to decisively remove ambiguity on all technology areas. This implies a deep understanding of the OTT video landscape and extensive experience in digital video delivery for both Video on Demand, as well as digital linear TV. Previous experience should include a leadership role with line management responsibilities (either team manager or director level). For this role a strategic thinker with a high dose of operational ownership is required.

Influence :

- An extremely important part of this role is stakeholder management. Stakeholder management ranges from maintaining a relationship with the Senior Leadership Team (CEO, CTO, COO) to (taking part in) 3rd party contract negotiations. This role requires a strong leader that will be able to communicate to, and convince stakeholders by using a combination of the right argumentation and available metrics

Impact :

- Although this role bears responsibility for all technology in, it also requires to drive strategic goals for the broader family. Opportunities to increase operational excellence for all of out of improvements made in should be a given. At this level, all decisions made will have a huge impact on both the customers as well as to the image and identity of as a whole. Although a big part of the organisation is working towards being self-managed teams, there is still a high amount of work to be executed in order to increase the value of deliveries.

Resources :

- This role has direct P&L responsibility for a budget exceeding - 10MM and is required to manage the ambiguity between the required budget and the availability of that budget. This includes budget responsibility for all 3rd party technology suppliers and partners.

- Detail whether this person would manage resources such as people, technology, finance and third parties. Describe whether the role is leadership, management or supervision or are they largely independent and responsible for their own work.

Skills and Experience :

- Strong leadership skills

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills

- Proven interpersonal and soft skills

Knowledge :

- Deep knowledge of OTT and Digital Video technology, including video delivery, CDN, DRM and encoding/transcoding.

- Proven experience and knowledge of the Agile framework, specifically Scrum and Kanban

- Previous P&L ownership for the budget mentioned above

- Great knowledge of product development is required

Qualifications :

- Previous agile scrum master certification is preferred

- Excellent knowledge of English language (both written and spoken)
