JD - Head of Technology

The position :

Moca Financial is looking for a Head of Technology. S/he will report to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO). S/he will be responsible for ensuring that key projects and engineering duties are fulfilled. S/he will be responsible for solving any engineering issue that comes up in a project. S/he should have excellent team management and planning capabilities.

You will work alongside CTO and take ownership of the India technology matters. To do well in this role you should have experience with the development of complex cloud-based technology platforms, building scale and the ability to think strategically, interact with the board and the management team and at the same time be able to execute the deliverables on your own independently.

Key Responsibilities include:

- Responsible for keeping projects on track, solving technical issues that arise

- Accountable for product development, testing, and release

- Gauge progress of various projects

- Communicate effectively with customers

- Propose budgets for various projects

- Create reports to give updates on projects

- Work closely with the business, sales, project managers, and product teams for integrated solutions

- Manage the team and drive performance and deliverables

- Train new employees

Desirable Skills and Competencies:

- 12+ years experience and proven leadership of technology function

- Experience in building complex, large scale technology platforms

- Excellent Team building and management capability

- Must be an Agile Champion

- Hands-on development experience

- Hands-on the leader. Should be able to get into the details of the code to mentor the team members

- Good to have a Banking domain experience

- Excellent interpersonal skills

- Excellent Communication (Both verbal and written)

- Drive results; goal-oriented

- High on ethics and integrity

- Experience of SaaS / cloud-based product company highly desirable
